Well to be fair they have to come here for football talk. Shitsburgh only got to 8 pages once a few of us starting posting.

Looking over schedules......looks like first team to 10 wins....takes the division. I look for bmore to win it and unlike last year...be the only team in the playoffs from the division

Oh, I understand. I really have no issue with their 10-11 win predictions because whether delusional, or not, it's what they expect every year. Hopefully some day we get to that point. Now had they said 15-1 or 14-2, that would've brought serious lulz for me.

It appears we're watching each other. You yourself once said that you "lurked" on Steeler threads even if you didn't post. Something about,"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Seems appropriate in this case. LOL. All in good fun too. What are some predictions on the Browns schedule? I think br said 3-13. I'm gonna go with 7-9....at first glance.

As it stands I'd say 4/5 win range.

Yeah, prior to the schedule coming out I thought this might be a down year for the divisional winner. I just don't see 12-13 wins from any team.

I see 5 winnable games. We'll probably win 2 of them and beat someone we shouldn't. 3-13. Hopefully that is bad enough for Barkley.

I see us starting out 1-5
I'll chime in with some non-trolling comments/questions.

1. Tough as hell schedule, no real breaks on that schedule this year. And say you do start out 1-5, does this team and coaching staff have the ability and experience to turn the team around after a start like that, or will the 1-5 start really set the tone for the rest of the season?

2. Week one is at home. That is a good thing. I heard a statisitic that opening at home in the NFL gives the home team a 50% better chance of starting the year 1-0. And the Eagles are beatable IMO.

3. The bye being in Week 10 is interesting, could that be Shurmer's curtain call if the team is 2-7 at that point?

4. Bold prediction time...my guess is 5-11 for the browns and they will win at least one divisional game this season.

1. NO

2. Have you seen the Browns record in home openers since 1999?

3. Bye week could be when Childress/Jauron takes over

I have not, but guessing by your response it isn't good. However, I am not sold on the Eagles yet again this year, so I am optimistic for a browns win.

Hopefully Vick is injured in the preseason and can't play, and they hold out McCoy treating this game like a 5th preseason game. About the only chance we have of winning it.

Well the Browns were competitive in a lot of games last year because of the defense, and if the offense gets some playmakers who make plays in the 4th, I could see us winning games that we don't think are winnable. Not saying we are going to contend for the division crown, but do you guys REALLY think we're a 1-15, 2-14 team? I don't, at all.

One win.

BTW...how bogus is it that the Browns play the Eagles in week 3 of preseason only to play them again two weeks later in the opener?

That's not normal by any stretch of the imagination, is it?

Hopefully it bodes well because the last time I remember it happening, the Browns got destroyed by the Giants in preseason (2008) only to come back and shock the world in a prime time regular season game in which they destroyed the Giants... who I think were coming off their first Super Bowl title. Doesn't happen often (both the Browns beating a good team and playing a regular season opponent in preseason).
