Preaching to the choir but they might as well start assembling SOME weapons for when they do get their QB in place.Al Bundy;1129071 wrote:Those 6-8 catches will be for about 25 yards. If they don't have a QB that can throw the ball downfield, does it really matter who they have at WR?

Yeah why would you ever need WRs right? They each only get targeted 6 times a game why even waste a pick?BR1986FB;1129003 wrote:Blackmon would help the offense but I think T-Rich would have more of an immediate impact. Richardson is going to get more touches rushing and catching checkdowns while Blackmon might get targeted 8-10x's a game and catch 6-8 balls.
Either way I wouldn't want either at #4 but if you can trade down a few slots, get some "value/extra picks" and THEN get them...I'd be cool with that.
The Vikings are doing great giving AP all those touches..lets get richardson!

This team needs offensive play makers, that's not even debatable.

You drop back and get people like Hill/Wright/Floyd with the second pick and then another in the 2nd/3rd round. No one is saying don't pick WRs. The difference between Richardson and any other RB in this draft is far greater than Blackmon and other WRs.SportsAndLady;1129082 wrote:Yeah why would you ever need WRs right? The only exception would be David Wilson, I've heard some people like his pass catching abililty and think he would be a better fit in teh WCO. IMO Richardson can catch just fine, he would fit the WCO and is far greater than Wilson.

Richardson can catch passes just fine, in fact he actually has pretty good hands.

Exactly. He'd be more of an impact player, IMMEDIATELY. He'd probably touch the ball 30+ times per game in some capacity where Blackmon just doesn't have that impact. Trade down a bit, grab Richardson and THEN get your WR at 22.Commander of Awesome;1129091 wrote:Richardson can catch passes just fine, in fact he actually has pretty good hands.
Wasn't saying "don't take a WR" in that the receiving position needs upgraded. Just saying T-Rich gives you more impact with that first pick. Besides, I don't think Heckert is a fan of grabbing WR's that high (Maclin-late 1st, D-Jax-2nd).

Blackmon is ten times greater than the next WR in this draft.OneBuckeye;1129090 wrote:You drop back and get people like Hill/Wright/Floyd with the second pick and then another in the 2nd/3rd round. Agree 100% I'm a fan of richardson if we trade down. I would love Floyd at 22. I think he's going to be the best wr out if this draft

Do I want a franchise QB? Yes
Will we get one in this draft...not anymore. And because Washington has overpaid to get the 2nd best QB in the draft(regardless of who they get), we should now get playmakers to put around our current QB and if he's not the answer...blam, we get our franchise guy NEXT year and the weapons are already in place.

I am of this belief now. There is no sense in trying to bring in something that may not be better than what you have. That's why I'm not opposed to a trade down to 14 or 15 to get a Falcons/Julio Jones-type raping of the Cowboys or Eagles.bases_loaded;1129120 wrote:Do I want a franchise QB? Yes

I honestly don't think the Browns will need to move up to get Barkley as I easily see them being a top 3 pick in the 2013 draft but there's no sense going after a Tannehill if he's not in the same class as the top 2 in this draft.

1 Ind --Luck
2 Wash--Griffin 3
3 Minn--Kahlil
4 Jax--Blackmon
5 TB--Richardson
6 St Louis--Clairborne
7 Browns ????
who would you guys prefer Heckert to pick?

Not saying my preference but if that's how it plays out it may be Tannehill. Could also see them taking Michael Floyd or Jonathan Martin although that might be high for both of them. Please NO Coples!Mr Miyagi;1129147 wrote:so lets say that the Browns trade down with Jax and the draft unfolds like this

I myself also think that that is to high for Floyd ,Martin and Decastro......And if we take Tannehill we do not get the impact offensive player we need, as I really dont think Tannehill will gives us that.....i think we really need to be careful in trading down.....I mean if we trade down, we might as well go to 14, 15 or 16 and get more picks , i see the same value there as i do at 7

I don't think it's too high for Decastro, but if you think you can get him at a lower position, then trade down again. Why not?Mr Miyagi;1129154 wrote:I myself also think that that is to high for Floyd ,Martin and Decastro......And if we take Tannehill we do not get the impact offensive player we need, as I really dont think Tannehill will gives us that.....i think we really need to be careful in trading down.....I mean if we trade down, we might as well go to 14, 15 or 16 and get more picks , i see the same value there as i do at 7
Let's have 17 picks this draft, and set up to have about 12 next year lol.

I like Decastro also, I think he will be there at 14 unless KC takes him at 11..........I have started seeing quite a few mocks ( not that they mean anything really) that have us taking Upshaw OLB ALA with pick 22...... I really want to go for a WR at 22 ......Anyone have a problem with Upshaw at 22?

Everyone wants a WR this draft, and it's frowned upon to get one in the 2nd round apparently, but I think there is a lot of talent this draft at WR. There will be a WR taken in the 2nd round that has 1st round talent.Mr Miyagi;1129159 wrote:I like Decastro also, I think he will be there at 14 unless KC takes him at 11..........I have started seeing quite a few mocks ( not that they mean anything really) that have us taking Upshaw OLB ALA with pick 22......
