It's either that or Mike & Mike. I'd rather listen to Cleveland sports than hear Greenie fawn over the Jets or them slobber on the nuts of the Miami CHeat.Commander of Awesome;1128175 wrote:Everything I hear about that guy/radio station is a fail. Not sure how you can even stomach to listen to that garbage. Glad I don't live in the area anymore and subjected to that BS on a daily basis.

Mary Kay Cabot ‏ @ MaryKayCabot # Browns GM Tom Heckert said the Browns will probably stay at No. 4, but if they trade down it most likely won't be past No. 8.

Daniel Wolf ‏ @DanielWolfNFL #Browns GM Heckert said questions about Colt McCoy's arm strength are "unfounded." (Remember that 50yd bomb to Greg Little? I do.)
Daniel Wolf ‏ @DanielWolfNFL
#Browns GM Heckert said former Cincy RB Ced Benson could be an option and first two draft picks could be on offense. (No Benson plz)

Daniel Wolf ‏ @DanielWolfNFL Lets think about the potential of 4 picks in the Top 40. #Browns could land starters at WR, RB, RT & OLB immediately. I like it.

So basically we're comfortable drafting anywhere from 4-8. This draft can't come soon enough

I'm pretty sick of all this hypothetical crap by now. Wake me up when there is a real tidbit or the draft rolls around.

Trade down, add another couple picks, and we got ourselves a playoff contender.

Let's not get crazy (about the playoffs) but those two 7th rounders will be HUGE. It allows them a chance to throw a pick at a player that they'd normally roll the dice on signing as a UDFA. In hindsight, and after his comments, I bet Heckert wishes he had one of this years comp picks last year so he could've used it on Sanzenbacher.DeyDurkie5;1128510 wrote:Trade down, add another couple picks, and we got ourselves a playoff contender.

That's a shit ton of picks. That is legit. Here is to hoping all 13 are starters!BR1986FB;1128634 wrote:@ brentsobleski
Browns hold picks: 4, 22, 37, 68, 100, 118, 132, 164, 185, 204, 205, 245
& 247.
I have a feeling next year's draft will be similar, as I see the Browns trading down.

I think they will have more after they trade down from #4. Now they could use picks to trade back up. How cool would it be if they could somehow package a few picks and end up with THREE 1st's this year?like_that;1128640 wrote:That's a shit ton of picks. That is legit. I actually think that (regardless of what Heckert says) they could trade down to the Cowboys (#14) or Eagles (#15) for the right to draft Claiborne. I also wouldn't be surprised if Tom Dimitroff (Falcons GM) laughs and says "you got fleeced" (at the Boys' or Iggles) at the Browns eye popping "take" they get from the deal.

It cracks me up that so many sports writers are saying the Brown's can't afford to trade down....that they need a top 5 pick. You look at the franchises that are in the hunt for the playoffs every year...they rarely pick in the top 15. So I see absolutely no issues in trading down to acquire more picks. I like Br's scenario where we could possibly have 3 #1's this year.
