Manny Lawson - LB - Bengals
The Akron Beacon-Journal disputes a Scout.com report that the Browns are one of the teams interested in free agent OLB Manny Lawson.
We suspected the original report identifying a handful of interested teams came straight from Lawson's agent, so the denial is hardly a surprise. The Colts, Raiders, and Bengals were the other teams listed by Scout.com.
Oops...the news got leaked that the Browns were interested in him so now they'll have to back off. Nothing to see here....

He also claimed that Ray Edwards to the Browns was a "lock" before he signed with Atlanta. After the fact it was found out that the Browns never spoke with Edwards or his agent. Is giving up a 5th round pick for Tebow a bad thing? I mean he was a 1st round pick...They could give special packages for him...and if Marecic doesnt pan out, we now have our new FB.
