If peyton manning doesn't go to arizona, what are the odds the cardinals release kolb? Something they been thinking about reguardless or only if they get manning?

He had minor knee surgery. Don't see where anyone says he'll fall out of the top 10. Nice reach though trollhook.

Sounds like the Browns have talked to two teams regarding potential trades. Assuming Houston is one, not sure of the other.
They are supposedly also "laying back" intentionally waiting for the first waive of free agency signings before going after 2nd tier type guys.

I didn't say he would but it is possible, it has happened with other RB's. If he is there I do it. Blackmon and Richardson plus a new QB that would be awesome.Commander of Awesome;1115856 wrote:He had minor knee surgery. Don't see where anyone says he'll fall out of the top 10. [h=3]Hillis could reunite with old OC[/h]8:59PM ET
[h=5]Peyton Hillis | Browns[/h]
The Kansas City running back situation is a bit sticky. Jamaal Charles will be returning from a torn ACL. Thomas Jones will be 34 years old in August. Neither is dependable at this point in time.
An answer may come in the form of the bruising Peyton Hillis. Brian Daboll, the Chiefs new offensive coordinator, was the coordinator in Cleveland when Hillis had his career season in 2010. Hillis is set to visit the Chiefs according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"If all goes well on his visit, Hillis could sign in the next day or two," Cabot reported.
"Hillis has said he'd like to remain in Cleveland, but it remains to be seen if the Browns will try to re-sign him." - Brent Sobleski
[h=5]Jamison Hensley[/h]Report: Browns' Hillis to visit Kansas City
"If the Chiefs want to see if they can get a motivated Hillis, there should be no hard feelings from the Browns. Cleveland has some pieces in the backfield with Montario Hardesty, Brandon Jackson and Chris Ogbonnaya, but the Browns need a dependable playmaker as their featured back. And, as everyone saw last year, Hillis was far from dependable."

Lane Adkins (OBR) spoke with an agent who said "the Browns remain a 4-12/5-11 team for a reason." They lack talent and they continue to let proven talent, who can help their team pass."

[h=6]Eagles today announced they have traded T Winston Justice and a 6th round draft choice to the Colts for a 6th round draft choice.
So the Eagles essentially gave Justice to the Colts?[/h]

Wasn't Justice the tackle that got abused for 6 sacks in the first half to the Giants?

Would love to land him. I would give them a 2nd or 3rd rounder

I have heard in a couple of places that this is why St Louis is in prelim talks with Minnesota......Browns not happy with the way St Louis' GM dealt with them....also Rams still might be thinking they need to jump in front of the Browns for Clairborne/Blackmon......wasnt there talk that we didnt want to trade pick #22 to them? If so maybe we have a plan for #22 with a trade up etc......also heard the other trade talk was with Dallas if Clairborne was available......Anyone interested in sliding to 14?BR1986FB;1115763 wrote:If you trade down with St Louis, you don't add another "pick." You make them bleed from the ass after playing you against Washington to drive up the price for RG3. I've heard that the Browns would be VERY reluctant to deal with the Rams after this unless the deal were pretty sweet.
And BTW, in typical Cleveland "fashion" I'm expecting them to be left out in the cold in their QB search. I expect another year of supremely shitty offense on the lake.
As far as free agency goes, I think I am really surprised that the Browns havnt talked with WR Laurent Robinson....

Adkins (OBR) said that he has spoken with agents in the last 24 hours who are "perplexed at the Browns lack of communication" and "there are a couple that really want to see the Browns do well and have players as clients that are willing to gain an opportunity, in Cleveland."Mr Miyagi;1115962 wrote:As far as free agency goes, I think I am really surprised that the Browns havnt talked with WR Laurent Robinson....
Also said the perception is that Browns won't jump in until the "bargains" are there.

As it should be. If these free agents were so valuable, they wouldn't be free agents. Could there be some useful players? Yes, but I'm perfectly fine with not settling for a band-aid.

I was all about Tate before that draft. I was pissed when he was taken right before us. And then even more pissed when we took Hardesty.fiction;1115810 wrote:Tate was the pick before Hardesty in the 2010 draft. I wish he had just fallen to the Browns then.
I don't really get how you can say he isn't worth a 2nd round pick, considering he was a 2nd round pick in 2010 and rushed for almost 1000 yards on 5.4 yards per carry last season. I'd love to snag him. Especially if we traded back and added a 2nd round pick. It would essentially be using that pick to draft Ben Tate.

Bullshit. You think Mario Williams wouldn't make a significant difference to the Browns defense and be a game changer? Roethlisberger, Dalton & Flacco would be shitting their pants at the thought of having to face that guy 2x's a year.lhslep134;1115986 wrote:As it should be. agreed, this is a rare class of impact free agents. This has been very disappointing.BR1986FB;1115996 wrote:Bullshit. We don't have the type of money to throw at him. In a world without limits you obviously pursue Williams. But uhm last time I checked there's a salary cap, we have a lot of needs, and let's see how Williams works out for the Bills before you get your panties in a bunch.

So one great free agent makes up for all of the other players who are overpaid and never live up to their contracts? LOL OKfiction;1116000 wrote:You seem to have forgotten that Reggie White was once a free agent.
