I just go back to what I said during the season, hoping for FA is fools gold. I'm not going to bitch and moan about not signing FAs like Haynesworth, giving Garcon $50mil when he hasn't even had a 1000 yd season. Same with Meachem. You guys are getting worked up over nothing.

Ben Tate is easily worth the second round pick. As far as his durability, he will certainly be an upgrade over Hillis. Yes he broke his ankle... but, HE BROKE HIS ANKLE. That's a bone, not a minor injury. As far as Kolb, I would prefer him over Flynn because he can at least throw the ball downfield. He may be unproven as well, but at least he would be cheaper with more experience than Flynn.

you are probably right, but I just want to see this team make a splash once in my lifetime. I usually don't care much for free agency, but this seemed to be a strong class and thought there was some room to upgrade.

As previously mentioned, they made a splash a few years back and got Corey Williams and Shaun Rogers... that turned out well! lol

So the Eagles essentially gave Justice to the Colts?

They moved up 14 spots in that crucial 6th round.

Wouldn't THIS be succulent?

And your 2012 Browns starting quarterback is?: Yes, it could come down to an offseason competition between Colt McCoy and Seneca Wallace. And if it does, don’t be surprised if Wallace makes a much more favorable impression in his third season with the Browns. He was not given the opportunity to compete for a starting job in his first two training camps.

Agreed, I'm not willing to shell out that kind of money for either of these guys. Just because we have cap space doesn't mean that we should use the money frivolously. They obviously have some WR targets in the draft if there hasn't even been a scent of interest during FA. Whether it's Blackmon in the early first, Wright/Hill late first, or other unknowns, obviously they aren't going into the season saying, "Our WR's were good enough, we don't need to address them."

Nope traded a 2nd round pick for him. 3rd and Leigh Bodden for Rogers.

I'd be very receptive to this, then drafting Tannehill and letting him sit...

Miami is going to need a WR. Maybe they go down to #8, Miami takes Blackmon and the Browns grab Tannehill there?

Man, now that I heard the rumor of getting Tate, I would LOVE that scenario. He's an exceptional young talent, and if we could keep both of our first round picks, that would be a very solid base for rebuilding our offense.

On another note, why did the Vikes sign Carlson? They already have Rudolph and I guess they're done with Shiancoe?

Interesting link here. Looks to me like the Browns need to release anyone over 28 years old (aside from Dawson).

lso, the more I read about the Browns QB situation, I think they are looking to take Weeden at 22 or 37. He's the QB in the draft that they have been impressed with. We'll see what happens.

We may have the first signing. Stole him from a division rival...

Joe Reedy ‏ @ joereedy

Not done yet, but Frostee Rucker to the Browns likely wrapped up by the end of the day

Have a big USC fan that hates his guts. Still blames him for losing containment on VY in the NC game.

Do I understand this right ?? Next year all teams have to spend 90% of the cap space?? If this is how it works we will have to be signing free agents in 2013 right? With the cap getting a big increase in '13 and '14 ( because that is when the tv money kicks in) how are our division rival Bengals going to spend 50 million?
