Outside of RGIII, it's doubtful that any of it happens.OQB;1108521 wrote:Did you just do this on Madden? Although it looks good...very doubtful all of that happens.
There's no chance that all of it happens.

Two new potential free agent targets that may be in the mix are Anthony Collins (OT-Bengals) and Evan Mathis (OG-Eagles).

Collins hasn't had a lot of starts but hits that "sweet spot" (26-27 years old, coming off the first rookie contract) that Heckert tends to target.

Washington Post - The Redskins are getting themselves ready to make an aggressive push to sign Peyton Manning over the coming days.
Manning became a free agent when he was released by the Colts on Wednesday.
Washington isn't worried about the risks associated with signing Manning, who has had multiple neck surgeries and didn't play a down in 2011, according to sources

Heckert really isn't revealing any of his cards here. Pretty much can summarize this to "everything is a possibility, except for signing Manning."BR1986FB;1108873 wrote:

Nate Ulrich ‏ @ NateUlrichABJ

As much as I want Manning to go to the Skins for obvious reasons, if he goes, that will take away the one NFC East team I felt comfortable with the Browns possibly beating lol.

Appearing on SportsCenter Thursday, ESPN 980 Washington's Chris Russell said he's "hearing" free agent Peyton Manning does not want to play for the Redskins and has already informed people in the building.
"A couple of different sources inside the organization have told me that Manning's camp made it pretty clear to Redskins officials he doesn't want to come here," said Russell. "... Unless that changes -- and I'm taking my sources at their word -- I don't think Manning's coming to D.C." The Redskins had hoped to make an aggressive offer to Manning, per the Washington Post, but there won't be much they can do if the feeling isn't mutual.

If Washington is stupid enough to put faith in McNabb I'm more than confident they're stupid enough to throw a bunch of money at Flynn if they can't get Manning.

I hope they remind these players that what these team officials tell the media is not really what they think about them. Not saying RG3 would but I could see players buying into it and feel slighted.wes_mantooth;1109156 wrote:I love that Heckart was saying that qbs like RG3 come around every year...not a once in a lifetime qb. #pokerface

[h=1]NFL teams wary of Marques Colston in free agency[/h] Posted by Evan Silva on March 8, 2012, 5:12 PM EST
Getty Images
Free agent Marques Colston has been one of the NFL’s most productive wide receivers over the past six seasons. He’s averaged 75 catches for 1,040 yards and eight touchdowns per year.
But Colston isn’t your typical “No. 1 receiver.” While blessed with a large catch radius, impressive body control, and ideal size (6-foot-4, 225), Colston does not create separation in the perimeter passing game and has spent much of his career playing slot receiver in the league’s most pass-heavy offense.
According to Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune, “some personnel men” around the NFL have reservations about Colston’s ability to stay so productive in another system. He has played in a dome, and for a team with an annually high-octane offense that racks up yards and points. Colston’s quarterback, Drew Brees, doesn’t miss. He’s led the league in completion rate in three consecutive seasons.
A late-February story from Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe hinted at similar concerns. Citing NFL scouts, Bedard’s report suggested fellow Saints free agent receiver Robert Meachem “could have a bigger impact than Colston elsewhere.” Meachem, of course, has been much less productive than Colston in New Orleans.
Long-term durability is another concern. The free agent has undergone at least six known surgeries in his NFL career, five of which have been on Colston’s knees.
He turns 29 in June.
Colson’s is not expected back with the Saints.

I have heard some people say Houston as a possible destination for Peyton because they are in the Colts division.
Would some of you be ok with this scenario...
Peyton to Houston.
Picks to Houston for Matt Schaub?
Redskins draft RG3
Flynn goes to Miami.
Thoughts?
