And that was Matta point as far as wanting him out there, getting in game shape, and playing with the team to continue to develop a chemistry as they get ready for the big ten. Big Ten starts next week with NW coming in, then a TOUGH trip to Bloomington on New Years Eve. If OSU plays as they did offensively last nite against IU, it could easily be an "L".
Very cool that you got to meet "Coach" ...lol Having been at the game, you missed the locker room look in prior to the game that had Matta giving his pre-game speech to the team and emphasizing how important it was to play well given the events taking place that evening. Hmmmm, didn't seem to sink in though, but given the opponent, the time of year, crowd, I guess it wasn't to be...anyway.

Yeaf, Sully isn't moving as well as he should though, hopefully that gets turned around though. IU could easily be an L.

From a chair in front of a TV with a good bit of intoxicating substances in me (ie: not the most reliable viewpoint), he seemed a step off early on. But as the game progressed, he got better, particularly in the second half.

I want him to be healthy when he returns, and I think it benefits the team to play some of these easier games without him if he's not completely healthy. It serves 2 purposes, get Sully healthy, and teach this team how to play without him if they have to go a long stretch of a game or entire games without him. If he's 100% right now, you absolutely play him, obviously.
Matta said he was never 100% in his four years of playing college basketball.
