What does that have to do with Paterno?
Then were not having this discussion and whats going on in Happy Valley right now isn't happening.
Isn't that what people said about Paterno in 2002? If he would have went to the Police Sandusky would have been stopped in 2002?
You can't it both ways.

If you're not on Twitter it's worth signing up right now to follow Gregg Doyle live blog the "riots" happening on campus.

I was resistant to Twitter at first because I didn't see what purpose it served, but for events like this it is by far the best way to get news and images live as things are happening.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if they have the PSU/Neb game. They'll probably have PSU forfeit the game. I'd be extremely worried about the safety of players/fans of nebraska as they should be getting into town either tonight or tomorrow probably. The PSU fans are bad enough when they DO have Joe Pa on their side.

If what I was told tonight about the details of the new allegation in Sandusky child sex case is true, it will horrify the public.

Brooks stays trollin'. Claims there will be a huge new allegation released possibly by Saturday.

No kidding Web! It's like it's not real.

The authorities now should turn their investigation to the board of trustees. Some/all of them are close to the school and it's activities such as firing/retirement of a 20+ year coach. (Sandusky in 99')

Some of them had to have heard the rumors of what was going on, they can't be that blind.

Don't tell me that one or more of them didn't ask the question.... "why did they fire/force retirement of a decorated assistant coach", who many thought would replace Joe Pa as the Penn State coach?

Edit: See Link on post # 844
These Elites (who were on board since 1998) are not innocent either.

Have what both ways??

Just because other individuals screwed up does not excuse inaction by others to stop the monster who was roaming around in the facility in plain view.

They were doing this before hand. Before, they were just drunk. Now, they're drunk and pissed.

People are starting to throw bottles and rocks. Police officer hit in head with bottle, cameraman hit with large rock.

Brooks always stirring the pot with rumors. About 10% of what he puts out there turns out to be true, just enough to keep him going.

How does ESPN have zero video coverage of this?

This has been the most surreal evening of watching news that has no real impact on my life ever. This turn of events honestly has no effect on my life at all, yet I can't stop watching coverage. After watching crowds form during the Arab Spring, outside the White House after the death of Bin Laden, with the Occupy movement, and now in Happy Valley tonight I just really want to be part of a big crowd.

Rinaldi is all they have been showing live from the scene with their own cameras. All other live video has been borrowed from other sources. In their defense news trucks are being flipped so I understand why they don't want to move too close to the action. Also, Penn State is in the middle of nowhere and Paterno only announced his retirement this afternoon and was fired two hours ago, so it's not like ESPN has had a ton of time to get additional people and camera's on the ground there.

Story from a current Penn State student whose brother was a victim. He was made fun of for getting "Sanduskied"
That didn't read like they were mocking the brother to me. It sounded like they were making fun of the "Sanduskied" concept. I'd think it might hit a little close to home to be joking about it like that (the one instance where the answer to "too soon?" might actually be yes), but it's not all that much different from the gifs, pics, and Penn State jokes that have already popped up on here.

It doesn't seem like people are taunting her brother specifically to her face or anything.
Joe, I think, did what he was supposed to do and was focused on his team. I never blamed him
Also found that to be an interesting quote, considering her brother was a victim.

The only worse timing the BOT could have had to was fire him at about 1am Friday night after everyone was REALLY drunk.

Why are people there so pissed at the media covering a scandal? This is 2011 thats how the world works.
