Penn State University students gathered on the steps of the main campus building chanting, We want Joe back ... We want Joe back. This is why I love sport. Emotions are high in the Valley.

Somewhere in Jerry Sandusky's current town, a single bullet is purchased

You are as sick as JoPa and the rest of the Penn St. cover up gang. This was directed at reclegend for his JoPa defense.

Lawyers that have been interviewed said PSU's civil liability for allowing Sandusky to stick around is somewhere in the hundreds of millions of dollars depending on the number of victims that wind up coming out.
That alone is staggering.

Lol, I know that killed me. Chick has no effing clue what this "football" thing is. No offense, but we kind of need an American here for perspective.bigkahuna;965842 wrote:"When is their next game scheduled to take place?"

The only thing sad is the number of young boys who had to go through the horrors they did. All of you who are defending Paterno would want 10 minutes alone with him if it had happened to one of your sons. The only sympathy I can muster goes to the families of the victims.

I hope the university symbolically burns to the ground. The Penn State administration and BOT deserve every last morsel of shame they are reaping. Joe Paterno, in this unspeakable tragedy, was the quintessential fall guy.chicago510 wrote:Lawyers that have been interviewed said PSU's civil liability for allowing Sandusky to stick around is somewhere in the hundreds of millions of dollars depending on the number of victims that wind up coming out.

This is why you love sport? I love the games and the highs and lows of winning and losing, not this.reclegend22;965839 wrote:Penn State University students gathered on the steps of the main campus building chanting, We want Joe back ... This is what I HATE about sports. It causes people to lose perspective and brings out the worst in some. This is about young boys that were sexually abused in a locker room, period. There is no more heinous crime I can imagine.

They wouldn't want 10 minutes with Sandusky? Instead they would first want 10 minutes Paterno?stlouiedipalma;965857 wrote:The only thing sad is the number of young boys who had to go through the horrors they did. Everyone has ignored you the past few times when you said this and I don't know why. You bring up a great point. This was a failure from people who are actually suppose to protect its citizens. This could have been prevented from this point on.Skyhook79;965829 wrote:Where was the Gov,DOE and AG in 1998 when the 2 Police Dept detectives and an investigator with the Pennsylvania Dept of Family took Sandusky's confession that he showered naked with a 10yr old and probaly touched his genitals?
Look, Paterno should have followed up to see why nothing had happened. But you guys are going crazy acting like Paterno is one that committed the worst crime here. In my opinion the AG, Police Dept and whoever else was investigating this in 98 are higher up on the accountability list than JoePa.

I mention Paterno because there are those on this forum who feel that he did nothing wrong. Following civil law is one thing. Morally, I have to believe the man is bankrupt. Besides, I haven't seen any posts here defending Sandusky. If he's found guilty he'll probably get a taste of prison justice.Skyhook79;965864 wrote:They wouldn't want 10 minutes with Sandusky? If Sandusky is found guilty Paterno and all the others will be seen as enablers. The civil suits won't be pretty either.

Good for the BOT for firing him and not giving him the dignity of resigning, and shame on any student rioting over a football coach being fired because of his inaction that resulted in children being raped.
