He's left the area because his ass got hit by a rock. Not gonna lie, kinda funny.

RT @psutxt: Police issue official dispersal order for Old Main, downtown State College. Everyone must vacate both areas immediately.

Why are people there so pissed at the media covering a scandal? This is 2011 thats how the world works.
Who's pissed at the media?

Just because other individuals screwed up does not excuse inaction by others to stop the monster who was roaming around in the facility in plain view.
Paterno wasn't inactive he reported to his superiors also he wasn't the one who approved emeritus status (allows Sandusky to have an office and run of the place) for Sandusky. Someone from the BOT did.

Even if Paterno didn't approve, he knew it happened and knew it was approved. By doing nothing, he became part of the cover up.

You don't think he deserved a 1/2 mile car ride from the trustees? Dick move, for sure.

Students for the circus. When Joe Pa came out of his house, cameras rushed the door. You could see students trying to push through and push the cameras away.

They were chanting something along the lines of backing off from JoePa.

Sure, but is that reason for rioting?

I don't care about it, but I think he deserved more (given the facts the public has. If the board knows more or expects more it could be different).

Ballsy move by that kid to call the situation disgusting in the middle of the riot. I think both of the student interviews went alright, and I agree with parts of both of what they said.

Then they brought in the Asian kid and the train got derailed.

There are 20,000 people in the world who don't understand Joe Pa had to go. And they're on Beaver St, tipping cars

Rioting after JoePa was deservedly fired for being a part of a cover-up in a horrific scandal; can you imagine if Penn State would have ever won something relevant in the last 20 years?

I don't mean who cares in the sense of they should have done it by phone if given all the options.

I mean, is that worth getting so upset given everything that has transpired in the last 5 days?

The students voices are being heard. But there's more to be done. Refuse to attend senior day. Set fire to the homes of the BOT and topple them to the ground. Murder their spokesman. These are things.

You're so rational. I hope you are joking, if not may god be with you.
