I think some of you Steubenville people will get a kick out of this, (especially since you won last night). I went to the double header Massillon/Steubenville freshmen/JV games today. (Massillon freshmen won 26-0 btw), during warmups for the JV game, Massillon had on their all whites that we wore last night, then, after warmups, naturally, Massillon went into the locker room, and when they came back out for the kickoff, they had their orange practice jerseys on. No joke, I had to laugh. I don't think too many people realized why they did it, but trust me, I got the inside joke, and if anybody else who gets on OC was there, they got it too. Btw, like someone said earlier, Massillons practice jerseys ARE nicer than 90% of others game jerseys. Anyway, Damion Smith, (OSU's Devin Smith's little brother) took the opening kick back for a TD, Steubenville, I believe it was on their initial drive, then scored a TD to make it 7-7, I had to leave at HT and I still don't know the final. I just thought it was funny and thought I would share it.

The win was wonderful...just as it was 2 years ago. But it's over....on to the next challenge. Would love to dispatch creek, Dover and U of M this post season. Guess we'll have to wait and see....

Update: Just found out that Steubenville won the JV game 14-7.

That is funny typical Massillon ... BTW that wasnt a slight ...grandios ... thats why i love playing them Tigers .. Never got a chance to play them in HS but was the team I wanted to play the most when i was growing up ,because they would just destroy Big Red .. Funny thing is my first Massillon game I saw was at the Big Red practice field a reserve game . Me and my friend were coming back from the movie theatre that was in Hollywood plaza at the time ,and we had to walk by the practice field where Big Red and Massillon were playing .. Massillon was just kicking the living crap out of Big red and it was like 50 to nothing .. I was like 11 or 12 at the time .. and we just stayed there and watch our guys get humiliated ... Massillon also traveled down in a coach bus not a school bus a coach bus for a reserve game on a Saturday afternoon and we stood there and watched all them Massillon kids after the game and watched them leave ... At that time I knew I wanted nothing more than to get back at those guys someday ... By the time I got to HS we had already droped them from the schedule .. My teams went 30 -0 in reg season for Big Red and we won the 84 title as we were a dominating team but I never got to play against them Tigers .. Hopefully this rivalry will continue ,because it certainly is a fun game to see as all three have been . well two anyway .

Massillon was the home team for the JV game...they are supposed to wear their dark, especially since Big Red was wearing white jerseys.

I realize that, my point, instead of coming back out in their black jerseys, that we always wear at home, they came out in their orange....Not GAME jerseys, but practice jerseys.

For Reserve and Freshmen games we always either wear the mesh practice jerseys or the really old game jerseys from the mid 90's.

Why beat up your good unis??
