i like it! something different. Hopefully we can all agree that if we keep doing what we are we wont win for long. If we change nothing in 2 weeks our season will be over! Clearfork is a D4 non playoff team and we could not move the ball against them. Competition will be way better than our last 3 wins as they were all ugly wins against all 3 non playoff teams. Fix it or start basketball practice early!

We are all waiting for you wise know it alls to give us the answers because we in Orrville seem to lack the superior insight and intelligence that you both have :laugh:

The D is also to blame for the closeness of the game and the last TD. How many personal fouls are we getting out of our D? Those sustained a last TD drive for CF. Way to many defensive penalties and poor pass coverage allowing too much room for receivers, like the last TD, no one close to the receiver and it seems we always have a midget size DB on a 6'2" or taller receiver. Standing 10 yard away and backing up at the snap creates your 5 yard open passes which CF seemed to do a lot. Coverage and penalties on the D need addressed. And as we saw last night 3 plays on 1 drive last week does not mean we would be better with that QB change.

Series Im definitely not saying that Orrville doesnt play a tough schedule. They do, however the fact that we are struggling on offense has nothing to do with that, Our last 3 wins came against non-playoff teams and actually we have only beat one playoff team all year. We just need to figure out how to do something different. And Riders 1 no i dont have all the answers and no im not insulting our coaching staff. Anyone who was at that game last night and thinks are offense is a well oiled machine then thats just not it. I think the weapons are there but we cant seem to figure out how to use them. Go back to short passes and move the ball down the field instead of these 40yd bombs that are overthrown every time. Whatever happened to using a tight end at Orrville? I watched Ryne Ladrach play today for Akron and he is an excellent one. A great blocker too. I cant believe we canto find a person to play tight end

Back when I played we were able to mix up the passes....we had Weeman for those fade routes down the sideline, Graber to go over the middle and execute the hot route, Speedster Corbett to get those quick passes and use his speed to make plays, and Ladrach who was able to get mismatches all over the field because of his size and athetic ability. All 4 of those guys had 40 plus catches.

This year we could use Brenner for those fade routes down the sideline, Turner for those quick passes to let him use that athleticism in the open field, Monheim/Zook to get the hot routes, and Lemon/Davis as the TE.


We took what the defense gave us, I don't see that with this offense.

rrn,...my comment about insulting the coaching staff is simply sarcastic as you know full well that some have a tendency to be very protective of them.
I don't feel that Orrville's schedule is as tough as some would have you believe. Your very comment is indicative of that!

If it werent for our defense we wouldnt even be in the games. I agree with the penalties but our Defense is the thing on this team that is working. That and switching to Tanner kicking off. Not sure why he wasnt the kick off guy from the start.

Talking about the CF game not the season.

Tanner has not been effective/consistent in practice kicking off....even in the CF game he was having trouble putting the ball where it ws supposed to go. He is working hard and improving hence the shot at kicking off on Fridays. Coaches evaluate in practice.

Short pass is what is definitely missing in this offense. That is the QB's call....believe me the deep ball is not the first progression on every pass...hardly....although watching our offense you would think so. Coaches cannot run out on the field and tel them where to throw it.

I would defer to Drew Pasteur's fantastic 50 site which after week 9 has our schedule ranked 9th toughest in all of of Division 4. That's mathematics folks...if you want to argue against that.....good luck.

Series, if you ever once would put your money where your mouth was and involve yourself with the program and learn the effort and knowledge and attention in all phases of life these coaches help these kids you wold be protective of them as well. No one is happy with our offense)ive) play. On the bright side we haven't shown a whole lot to teams scouting us. lol. And we have guaranteed ourselves a home playoff game. Which make our rich tradition now claim 22 years of play off football and our 595th victory. Many have put a lot of effort and sacrifice into that history now and from years past, and to all of you(us) I say Thank You! Have I made a snide remark or simply posted an opinion, like everyone else, including yourself, has done?

I did put my money where my mouth is, every time I paid my $6 to attend a game, whenever I paid the fees, purchased equipment, burned fuel to support my son's and the team. Because of where and what I do for a living I didn't and don't have time to participate in the Booster club, to watch the team practice nor involve myself with the program. If I wanted to do any of the above, I could make some exceptions, however, I don't want to become involved in the program, I don't want to attend the Booster Club meetings and I've already had two meetings with the coach. From that I've realized that he will answer what he feels you wanted to hear and he is going to do what he wants to do because noone can alter that. Nothings changed!

You don't need to do your best to answer anything, because;
A-I didn't ask you anything
B-I didn't ask the coach anything

Most of those coaches don't work at the school and their primary interest is Orrville "football" period! Mainly because most if not all of them attended school in Orrville and they're high on the sport.

I wasn't referring my entire post to you, I was just chiming in on a few questions that were brought up. We obviously look at what can be learned from high school sports differently. I respect anyone's opinion for maybe they had completely different experiences in other communities growing up. I can only relate my own youth experiences and my children's all in this community. We can agree and many things Series and in some we can just disagree. No hard feelings either way for me.

And to that last line I agree 100% as to no one person should ever deserve more consideration than another. Sounds good Series.
