The interest is primarily what you can do for the team and after that, you're done with them with the exception of a certain minority.
You really need to stop with the "we're teaching life lessons here in high school football" stuff!
They aren't!
All this ^^^^^ is wrong. 100% wrong and of course that is my opinion. did you ever play High Football Series? Serious question. If not I can see why you struggle with these opinions. And the comment I was referring to was the one you made about "some" on here tendency to be "protective". I may be one of those some? I don't know if you consider me one of them or not. I see what our staff does and I like what I see what they do with our kids. What puzzles me is folks who want to be critical on here when they could just go talk to the coach.
I wasn't referring my entire post to you, I was just chiming in on a few questions that were brought up. We obviously look at what can be learned from high school sports differently. I respect anyone's opinion for maybe they had completely different experiences in other communities growing up. I can only relate my own youth experiences and my children's all in this community. We can agree and many things Series and in some we can just disagree. No hard feelings either way for me.
No, I didn't play. Yet I don't struggle with the opinions either. I understand the involvement with some young men's lives. You act as if to criticize the play on the field will terminally destroy the young men's lives, or the coaches and so you have to "protect" them.
I realize the avenues of life that sports can provide in a youngsters life, I also realize the negative effect sport can have when favoritism and bias comes into play in those lives. You can say that it doesn't exist, but I've seen it and I doubt it's gone away.
I've seen some of what your staff does, it's not all bad, verily, I don't believe that it is their intent to do bad, however, I believe they are still going to lean towards their family and close friends in decision making time. I've seen a lot of that since I've been involved with Orrville sports and I doubt it's going to change anytime soon.
It's a site created for criticism and venting! And really, how many on here is really going to have access to the coach, even at the Booster Club meeting?
From what I know of you if you are who I think you are, you're a kind and generous person, unlike some, I don't look at you as anyone deserving of more consideration than others. Not an insult, you're a man like I am, rr1, like 1-beast, etc, etc.
