2917.03 Riot.

(A) No person shall participate with four or more others in a course of disorderly conduct in violation of section 2917.11 of the Revised Code:
(1) With purpose to commit or facilitate the commission of a misdemeanor, other than disorderly conduct;
(2) With purpose to intimidate a public official or employee into taking or refraining from official action, or with purpose to hinder, impede, or obstruct a function of government;
(3) With purpose to hinder, impede, or obstruct the orderly process of administration or instruction at an educational institution, or to interfere with or disrupt lawful activities carried on at such institution.
(B) No person shall participate with four or more others with purpose to do an act with unlawful force or violence, even though such act might otherwise be lawful.
(C) Whoever violates this section is guilty of riot, a misdemeanor of the first degree.
I don't believe yelling constitutes unlawful force or violence. I don't believe 100 people yelling "fuck off" is unlawful force or violence.

I saw a story about UnderArmor's Kevin Plank this morning, so I thought I'd read a little more about him. Here's an article from Inc. - http://www.inc.com/magazine/20031201/howididit.html Here's how it relates to the OWS movement:
I've always been a hustler. I don't mean that in the literal sense. When I was 14 or 15, my brother Scott, who works with me at Under Armour, came back from Guatemala with a bunch of knitted bracelets you see at Grateful Dead shows. Scott had this proposition for me and my brother Colin: "Listen, there's a Dead show coming to town. We'll go down and sell these bracelets and make a lot of money." We took the subway down. At noon, Scott said, "We'll meet back here in three hours." Later, we meet up. Colin--he's a writer, works for Disney in L.A. now--said, "I sold the first two. Then I started feeling guilty about how much money I was charging, so I gave the rest away." Scott, who's more of a finance guy, loves the Wall Street thing, says, "I made about 70 bucks." I say, "I have about 580 bucks in my pocket. And I need more bracelets." Right there, I knew I was pretty good at this.
Colin is acting out the OWS motto and choosing to give it all back because he feels guilty for his capitalistic venture. Kevin went about with his passion, took chances, almost went bankrupt, and made his mark in the business world by filling a need. Funny thing....he didn't need ONE government handout/program/subsidy/tax break in order to become successful. I'll just bet Obama mentions him sometime....not as someone to be emulated, but as someone that needs punished with higher taxes, a higher Death Tax, and more regulations.

Which one, Colin or Kevin, is what America is all about? Which path should Americans follow...the guilt-ridden one wherein everyone should work for the collective good of all or the rugged individualistic one wherein the opportunity for rewards and risks are right there for everyone? Even if you don't want to write it here, you will have to choose a path less than a year from now in the voting booth.

You can be sure that the MSM will do its utmost over the next 12 months to convince as many people as possible that our current obviously inept path is still the path to economic nirvana. It's all a matter of how many people will still buy-off on the Hope & Change mantra.

Yeah, they seemed to have turned their attention to hating the cops. What is the protest about again? :rolleyes:

Occupiers kicked out this morning. A large group of them declare that the privately owned park is "our park!" :thumbdown:

Sounds good to me. They should have done it about 2 months ago. Apparently, the protestors are being told they are welcome to use the park to protest, but they will not be allowed to "camp out".

Fair for everyone involved. Camping out at the park is ridiculous.

I think Occupy has lost focus of it's cause. They seem to just want to cause trouble now. Honestly, if you didn't know anything about it, you wouldn't be able to figure it out by watching any of their "protests".

Also, cue IWP to come in here and say how the cops were unjustified in enforcing the law, or some random story about a cop who tripped on his shoelaces and knocked into an old lady.

They found a friendly judge.

The National Lawyers Guild said it has obtained a court order that allows Occupy Wall Street protesters to return with tents to a New York City park.
The injunction prevents the city from enforcing park rules, which were published after the Occupy Wall Street protest began.
Those rules would bar protestors from bringing tents, tarps and sleeping bags into the park.
