Minimum wage gets upped to $1000 an hour. Suddenly, a #5 value meal at McDonalds is $1257.99.

To be fair that is just some guy on a Forum's post...I'm sure there's plenty of folks out there who believe similar things but to act like this is what the "movement" demands is wrong....it'd be like saying the TEA party demands that only people who own property fee simple should vote because some people in their rallies have said as much...
If Boatshoes were to join that forum and write a list of demands you wouldn't expect me to be speaking for a dissociative movement of people taking to the streets for whatever reason.
I imagine there's plenty of people clamoring for Ben Bernanke's head lamenting the Rothschild's for assassinating JFK because of Executive Order 11110 too.

The list was hilarious...it's too bad you didn't make it known that the list has nothing to do with the people protesting in NYC.fish82;922037 wrote:The brave souls occupying Wall Street have set forth their demands as follows:

What is hilarious is alot of the people protesting have no clue what they are even protesting about or hsve any clue how to fix it.
Only solution is tax people with money and people with money are evil.

In a way it's sad, though. They, like everyone, recognize that there is a problem. They (the ones I've seen, anyway) just don't seem to have even remotely close to an adequate understanding of how to solve it.Glory Days;923917 wrote:these people are funny. its like comedy hour watching them get interviewed.

A few thousand smelly unemployed beer-drinking Germans tried to be relevant in 1921. They were initially dismissed as irrelevant by the German establishment but they quickly elevated high enough to dominate most of Europe and plunge the world into a devasting war that squandered trillions of dollars and multi-millions of lives.Manhattan Buckeye;923568 wrote:These aren't masses, at most it is a few thousand of smelly unemployed hippies trying to be relevant.

Protests tend to bring out a lot of stupid people who make the intelligent people look dumb by association. Same thing happens with Tea Party protests and rallies.pmoney25;923849 wrote:What is hilarious is alot of the people protesting have no clue what they are even protesting about or hsve any clue how to fix it.

There it is. I was wondering how many posts it would take to get here. To equate any of these looney-tune parades to tax-paying 'murican protests is ignorant and folly. Pick any measure you want...arrests, cleanliness, non-violence, size, whatever you want.
The Dem kool-aid is preaching your mantra and I guess I'm not surprised you're drinking it by the liter.

You would have a hard time finding the intelligent people in that crowd. Also I am not seeing a lot of blacks in their ranks either. Interesting?I Wear Pants;924049 wrote:Protests tend to bring out a lot of stupid people who make the intelligent people look dumb by association. Yes, anyone who doesn't agree with you that the tea party is God's gift to politics is a moronic sheep.BGFalcons82;924129 wrote:There it is. I was wondering how many posts it would take to get here. Congrats on post #36 for reaching this milestone.

Grow up, you're blind if you can't see that both sorts of gatherings have plenty of blathering idiots but also some genuinely intelligent people. All you have to do is look at the interviews of people from both of them (this one is fresh on the mind so we know there are a bunch of dumb fucks without jobs sitting out there without knowing why they're protesting but there are plenty of people at tea party rallies that can't articulate why they are there either). Pretending like one is some pure majestic political revolution and the other is a bunch of blathering idiots only spotlights how much of a political hack someone is (for either side).

And OMG, NO BLACK PEOPLE? If this crowd is filled with unemployed people, how do you explain the lack of black people? THE RACISTS ARE GOING TO BE PISSED THEY WERE WRONG!!!
(Note: I'm not implying tea party people are racist in the above joke before BG gets a boner because he gets to type Kool-Aid more)

BGFalcons has some good points when you compare the two. How many tea party protesters were arrested? Do I need to break out my left wing trashing public property photos? Size of crowds? I am not saying the tea party is pure as the wind driven snow, but there are some stark differences. BG just pointed out a few.I Wear Pants;924401 wrote:Yes, anyone who doesn't agree with you that the tea party is God's gift to politics is a moronic sheep.

No they are staying at home. They are afraid you libtards are going get your way and legalize drugs and put them out of a job. They were protesting against the richest entity on the face of the earth. The federal government. Your point? What does that have to do with trashing public property and getting arrested for disrupting the peace?I Wear Pants;924468 wrote:How many Tea Party people were protesting against rich people?

The "disturbing the peace" I would be careful about wielding, as some cops seem to throw it around too much.
However, damaging property is inexcusable.

He won't answer that question because you've got him. It's one more example of leftist false equivalence. They love to make parallels out of things that aren't the same. Then they'll repeat that mantra over and over and hope the lie takes hold.majorspark;924512 wrote:They were protesting against the richest entity on the face of the earth. The federal government.
