Okla, Okla State, Tejas, TT to the PAC16

UCONN, RU to the ACC

SEC adds nodody

Big 10 adds nobody

Big 12 and Big East leftovers merge to form a conference, adding Boise State and TCU (if you don't count them as a big 12 leftover)

ND joins the B1G in the next 2 years

Texas destroys the PAC16 in 2 years.

Sorta joking about the last one...kinda

Rumors of ND to ACC are very strong right now. They like the culture of it and see their fanbase as being more East Coast based. If we got them and Uconn I would be very pleased.

I have no idea, everyday there is a different rumor and it is starting to make my head hurt. The only thing I am confident about is next year college football is going to be very different.

No clue on how it will all shake out, too many moving parts. Apparently Missouri now has an invitation to the SEC, and the SEC is willing to wait for Mizzou to figure out what is going on with the Big XII.

If I had to guess right now...

B1G does not expand. Stays with 12 teams.

SEC adds A&M and Missouri, going to 14.

ACC adds Rutgers and UConn, to go with Pitt and Syracuse, to go to 16 teams.

Pac-12 goes to Pac-16 with additions of Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.

Remaining Big XII teams (Kansas, K State, Iowa State, Baylor) and remaining Big East teams (South Florida, Louisville, Cincy, TCU, WVU) form a combined league.

Notre Dame maintains its independence in football and sticks with new B12/BE combined entity for other sports. 17 teams for basketball, ND is happy to maintain a foothold on the east coast with Providence, St John's, Georgetown, and expand into new areas in Florida and Texas.

----

However, in my "ideal" world, Notre Dame and Missouri join the B1G.

B1G West: Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin
B1G East: Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue

or

B1G North: Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Wisconsin
B1G South: Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue

I don't think Northwestern is north of Columbus.

It most definitely is.

As far as the north/south is concerned, that alignment I mused of above is geographically correct dividing the teams. Iowa City and State College are probably the closest by latitude and IC is slightly north.

B1G adds no one.
SEC adds Missouri aTm
ACC adds UND and UConn
Big East adds UCF, Southern Miss,Villanova and Marshall
Pac 12 adds OU OK st IT and Texas Tech.
Big 12 adds the cream of the MWC crop and loses BCS auto bid.

Here are some tweets that I just came across

Mountaineer ✔ WV Mountaineer

Patience everyone.... THE source of all sources is reporting a done deal. Which media outlet will get the leak first?

Mountaineer ✔ WV Mountaineer

Amen Brother > RT @WVUrecruiting: It is truly a GREAT night to be a Mountaineer ....wherever you may be! #WVU

Note the tweets are from a random WVU fan. Florida/Bama/Auburn aren't interested in playing in darn near Pennsylvania in November. WVU brings nothing to the SEC.

Actually rumors of WVU to the SEC are really hot right now. There are all kinds of things out there on twitter. He is one I picked up (and there are a lot more):

SmokingMusket Smoking Musket
RT @joffutt1: Looks like it's for real this time. SEC official says to expect an announcement tomorrow. Done deal. #wvu to the #sec

Its the same twitter feed posted above. Repeating it thousands of times doesn't give it any more credibility.

Anytime you see a source say done deal its usually not gonna happen...real "done deals" come out of nowhere and the source usually covers its ass instead of saying done deal!!

Indeed, I'm sure WVU would beg to get into the SEC, but it doesn't make sense for 3 reasons:

1) Culture/geography

2) SEC doesn't need them

3) SEC doesn't want a program that the ACC passed on.

I'm not sure the ACC will expand, but if it does it will be UConn/Rutgers.

This seems much more likely than WVU to the SEC.
