Yeah I can see WVU going to the Big 12 before the SEC, for the same reasons as state above. The SEC doesn't need anyone else, not really sure why they took A&M

I think that they took TAMU because, like everyone else, they thought that super-conferences were inevitable, and wanted to get out ahead of the curve. I think they may really be regretting it right now.

Possible, but the aTm folks I know are loving the SEC thing, and with LSU, Arkansas down the road there is a natural fit and the SEC won't mind getting into the Texas tv market.

The Big 12 (or old Big 12) is a dying conference. The SEC bought low with it.

I don't understand the hate for accepting aTm. They have the largest fanbase in the country outside of the UM, OSU, Penn St, ND, and Texas, and they're a better basketball school than 3/4 of the SEC. Not to mention a better football school than UK, Vandy, Ole Miss, and MSU; maybe more.

A big east coach sent a text to ESPN:

"The big east is done"

Missouri Board of Curators voted to explore leaving the Big XII. As someone said on Twitter earlier (KegsNEggs maybe), "Missouri as three hats to choose from: SEC, SEC, not Big XII." It definitely sounds like Missouri is headed to the SEC.

Also a lot of word circulation on Twitter from national media guys (ESPN, SI) that the Big XII is planning to invite Louisville later this week.

I still think that the B1G stays put unless they can get either Notre Dame or Texas.

I just read on Twitter that Cinci is joining the Ivy League, and Ohio State is joining the Sun Belt.

Done deal.

Expect an announcement tomorrow.

This is what I've been saying; I don't understand how picking up aTm can be a bad move by the SEC.

Not surprised at all by the top 5. A&M a little surprising, but not a huge shock. Really, the top 9 are all teams I would have guessed. Shocked by Clemson though. Wouldn't have thought they'd be ahead of Oklahoma, Nebraska, Georgia, LSU, and a few others.

First thing I thought was Clemson being on there...there would be probably 15 schools I'd guess over Clemson.

Vanderbilt doesn't have a separate athletic department, it is wrapped into the general administration. Williams isn't just the VC of athletics, he's the university's general counsel and also a law professor.

His salary does seem to be a bit exorbitant, however.

Quick reporters chat w #OU pres David Boren. Look for Big 12 expansion soon. Don't expect Missouri to stick around.
