yeah, how would that trade look if Milwaukee didn't advance as far as they did...we wouldn't have even got Brantley.

And the trade still looks horrific even with us getting Brantley. An average starting outfielder for a Cy Young winner? In a trade where you panicked and pulled the trigger a month before the deadline?

9th inning just inexcusable. LaPorta does the one thing he can't afford to do.

+1....which just goes to show you...prospects are just that...prospects. That's why I won't bitch much if the team has to give up one to get the hitter they need to get to post season.

it's probably a good thing that i dont run the indians. if i did, i'd say laporta would at least be in columbus and he'd more likely be looking for other forms of employment...that at-bat was that bad

Take away his HR and they are still in a position to tie or win the game. Bases loaded, 0 outs should translate into at least 2 runs.

The fact of the matter is they went thru all that work to get the bases loaded with 0 outs, and it was spoiled by Laporta. He could've struck out, popped out, or get thrown out of the game for punching the ump in the face. All those scenarios would have been much better than a DP.
