Most leagues now start league play so we will see a lot of the region's teams play each other as 23 of the 32 teams are in 5 leagues.

All-America Conf with 7 teams
Chagrin Valley with 5 teams
Patriot with 4 teams
PAC8 with 4 teams
WCAL with 3 teams

So as these teams play each other we should see some jumping up and down when the computer rankings come out.

I expect Girard to be #1 in the new computer poll. Their opponents records in the games not against them is a combined 5-1. They have a couple of weeks coming up were second level points are going to be tough to come by.

Struthers will give girard points for the second week straight as well as next week.

I'm just pleased to see them off to a good start. The last time I can remember they made the playoffs was an opening round win, at home, against Orville quite a few years back. Last game I attended. We got the ball rolling back in 1985.

The year was 2003, Black River finished 1st in the region , Beat Orrville, then Triway, before losing to Villa Angela St.Joseph.

VASJ has really fallen in size, I remember when they were very good in DI basketball, then down to D3. Now VASJ is D6 in football.
