The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

What happens March 11 will be interesting, but to equate that to U.S. riots due to high prices is a huuuuge stretch. Come on, think rationally.

I don't think that the world will come to an end or anything like that but we are extremely dependant on these countries for our everyday life tomove forward.People will not sit still and watch other countries dictate how we live and when prices get out of hand, people will stand up and take back what they think is theirs and we will see the radicals stirring the pot from outside and watch as our own people destroy this country.

Just say that Saudi Arabia goes the same way as Egypt or Libya and Iran steps in and takes control,You will see gas over $10.00 a gallon and there is nothing the United States could do to stop them.I don't think people will be happy.

When gas is $10/gallon and food prices have quadrupled, you will see rioting in this country when people can't afford to buy basic groceries. I guess we can all go on food stamps, though.

When are these stupid liberals going to realize that there is currently no viable alternative to oil right now? Wasting time, money and resources on an already failed idea like ethanol is counter-productive. It seems like the real future will lie in electricity. But until they also realize that requires more nuclear power plants (*gasp*, Chernobyl, Three Mile Island...panic!!), we will not see any real progress toward achieving it as a genuinely viable alternative.

ROFL if you honestly think Iran will take over Saudi Arabia.
Why is there nothing the US could do?
Do you not remember Iraq invading Kuwait? The U.S. would round up an international coalition like we did in 1991 and push the Iranians out.
Besides, Iran has not made a move that radical yet. If there was any place to do it, it would be Iraq, and they have not.

Not saying Iran would take over but do I think they could,Yes
We are in over our heads in Irag and Afghanistan and the last thing we need is getting involved in another war that we can not win.We are no longer the great super power that everyone thought we were and other countries are seeing that all they have to do is stand up and fight back because we do plenty of talking but we are just another country at war.We have lost thousands of soldiers to a poor third world country that had no military such as air force, navy or any organized leadership,so I would think that the last thing we would want is to start another war with a country that is well trained and has an air force and navy with long range weapons and a hate for the United States and that would love for a chance to show their fighting ways on a grand stage. We do not have the mentality to fight a full fledged war with a country like Iran because our leadership and the wacko activist that stroll our streets want us to fight fair and not harm innocent people while these other countries fight a war to win by causing havoc and as many deaths as possible.Do I think we have the weapons to quickly and swiftly bring an end to any war we would get involved in,yes I do but we are not allowed to use them because other people would become upset.
1991 was a different time and we had allies that trusted and were intimidated by us that did as we wanted but now other countries will not get involved in a war where their young soldiers will die for us.

A war against Iran would be totally different than the Iraq and Afghanistan situations. We are not fighting Iraqi and Afghani troops, we are fighting fundamentalists. A war against Iran would be pretty much like what happened in the Persian Gulf in 1990-91. We would crush the Iranian military, the problem would be the fundamentalists coming out of the woodwork.
