Just picked up a 32 oz. Growler of Southern Tier Pumpking. Keep reading about it on here so figured I'd try it.
Had an Oliver Beanblossom Strawberry cider as well as an Ace Berry Cider and those were both pretty good. Anxious to try the other 2 ciders Curly graciously recommended as well.

Anyone have experience with Horny Goat beers? Not terrible, but liked Magic Hat better. Drinking a Wheat Ale now. Tastes like it has apricot.

Having a Horny Goat milk stout now. Not bad, but these horny goats don't seem to be flavor packed.

leinenkugel as a whole is kinda meh/shitty beer. Some people like the Summer Sandy, but I think it sucks.ernest_t_bass;1293943 wrote:Drinking a Lienenkuegel (sp?) Honey Weis right now. Meh

Leiny seems to be the "we tried to buy good beer" kind of beer that people buy if they don't know good beer.Commander of Awesome;1293997 wrote:leinenkugel as a whole is kinda meh/shitty beer. Some people like the Summer Sandy, but I think it sucks.

No, it's okay. I drink it when I'm at someone's house. It's just not great stuff, but if you're tight for cash, you can do a lot worse. I know guys that, if they don't want to spend much, they buy PBR or Yuengling B&T, and they know beer. You gotta know your cheap options, so Leiny might be yours if you enjoy it.ernest_t_bass;1294009 wrote:Yeah. Well. You know what? Fack you!

That doesn't count. It's not cheap compared to peeing in a bottle and chilling it, either.ernest_t_bass;1294029 wrote:Compared to what I used to buy!

Just had a Left Hand Polestar Pilsner. Everything I hate about most pilsners was in this beer.
Hated it. Thought it smelled like dogshit, and it was bitter in a bad way.

The Sawtooth Ale is a nice redemption, though. Not half bad. Not amazing, by any stretch, but not half bad.

No beer for me yet, but I saw SN Narwhal and couldn't help myself. I'm beginning to devlop a buying problem.

Yeah, I blew about $65 yesterday, and it was only that low because I only bought one bomber, one 4-pack, and one 12-pack (where the value is).
Has anyone ever tried Victory's Prima Pils? Is it better than a normal pilsner? I'm too hit-or-miss with pils beers. I saw a 12-pack yesterday with Golden Monkey and Hop Devil and this. Was curious if it might have been the better buy, as I know Victory doesn't really do anything poorly.

I'm with you on Pilsners. I've gotten to the point where I just avoid them. Either they are too watered down and lack flavor, or extremely dry finish which I'm not a fan of. If I'm drinking a lighter beer, I want it to be refreshing, not dry. That being said, Prima Pils is solid.O-Trap;1294106 wrote:Yeah, I blew about $65 yesterday, and it was only that low because I only bought one bomber, one 4-pack, and one 12-pack (where the value is).

Prima Pils is my favorite Pilsner and has been since I first tried it in 2005. It's about the only Pilsner I'll drink...then again I like Leiny's Shandy on occasions so take it for what it's worth. I do like Leiny's Big Eddy Series, otherwise I agree it's nothing special.
