Serious snob question:
In the last few years, I have made a beer journal if you will. I found that I had tried sooo many craft beers, That I could hardly ( if at all ) keep track of what I tried an what I liked\didn't. I didn't start logging until about two years after I started and am now back tracking.
The question is : Are you willing to give a beer a second chance? If so, under what circumstances? I am a big fan of IPA's in general, but there are so many, it is hard to keep track of.
Case in point, About 4 years ago I drank a 120 min IPA, I thought it was Gorilla piss. My Brother in law had a few pints last weekend, and I reluctantly agreed to give it a 2nd try. I'm glad I did! 16 oz of malty goodness. It make me wonder if the 1st one I drank had a storage issue ( heat/light ).
What do you think?

Far as 120 goes, its supposed to get a lot better with age. Any idea if the 120 on tap was aged a bit? I know a lot of people buy it and sit on it for a year before trying.

(on the subject of beer journals) I'm not as serious a journal-er, but I did download the Untappd app for my phone to keep track of what I've had and my rating for it. Good, quick reference tool.

Agreed its solid. Bunch of us on here have it and use it regularly....some more than others. That is a great beer! Split a Bruery Trade Winds triple tonight. Was great as usual, and a steal at $5.99 for 750 ml. Might be the best bargain bomber outside of Arrogant Bastard around.

I'd like to give Oskar Blues Ten Fiddy a second chance. I remember hating it when I had it a couple years ago. I was most likely drunk when I tried it though. My friends thought it was nasty too at the time. My tastes for beer have changed over the years so I'd definitely like to try it again. Sucks you have to buy the whole 4 pack, I can pick up a can or 2 and break up the 6er. Unless a beer is absolutely awful, I'm willing to give it multiple chances. Over time your palate will change and you will appreciate beers you didn't like before, but also realize some beers aren't as good as you once thought. I started using untappd to keep a log of all the beers I drink because I wanted to use something but I'm too lazy to write reviews on beeradvocate. I'm in a situation similar to you, I've got 5+ years worth of drinking craft beer so god knows how many total beers I've had. I'd like to backtrack to try beers I haven't had in a while but also have a complete log. Its $16 for 4 great beers. I'll pay $10 for a bomber which is about 2 beers. When you think about it that way, makes it easier for me. Oktoberfest doesn't sound like a great beer for a milkshake.
