In case anyone didn't know, I'm pretty sure Keib is Smithville's principal now. It seems he has a habit of this type of behavior.

In today's article, I noticed that Robinson has already said more than one would ordinarily be allowed to say under such a gag order. Yet, as always, Coach Schrock responded with class by not violating the agreement, even when she already had.

These are the people we've got teaching our kids now: people who show no respect to the community they SERVE people who don't have enough class to honor their own agreements; people who would rather destroy one of the most proud things about the community in order to further an agenda; people who put the harm of people they don't like over the benefit of the kids in the school; people who will crucify a man for the speck in his eye while catering to the log in their own eyes.

These are who we've got teaching the kids now.

I have to agree with several who have commented on recent Daily Record articles: For the first time in my 15 years as a Smithie, I am ashamed of my alma mater.

I would believe this hire would be the boards responsiblity, as well as our 'interm" super and for screwing the community with the new school levy and plans. I think this will eventually all lead back to the board and their ignorance to the community. There needs to be some serious changes with the members that are supposed to be representing our school system. The arrongance of these people was shown when the community showed up for meetings regarding school plans and they all were too much above anyone to listen. They were allowed to get away with doing what they wanted there and are now continuing to show they could care a less about what anyone in the community desires. It is about them because they are much above us all.

It seems as though, the school board Pres. and the interim Super were working together on getting Schrock out! A gag order until Jan 10th, but tomorrow the board meets to vote on hiring the Super. on a full time basis!! It looks like the Superintendent was doing the School Board Pres. a favor in return for a "vote" at the meeting tomorrow! I guess none of them thought this would get out! Keep on digging Daily record!! We all deserve to know the Whole truth! Remember Smithie faithful, the Board of Education are elected figures! Time for the community to clean house!!

DING DING DING! I'm thinking any one person on the board right now will be out as soon as the voters can get them out now. They've sealed their own fates.

No coach is bigger than the school, but no school is bigger than the community, and the community has been served faithfully by Keith Schrock for decades, so the community needs to clean house as soon as possible.

Will tomorrows board meeting be cancelled? Closed doors? Heavily policed? Heavily protested? Heavily attended?

the one thing I am wondering about is why would shrock sign a gag order if there was nothing else going on? Noone would find out they are going to not be renewed, then submit to a gag order unless there was more to the story. It just doesn't make sense.

Why would Schrock sign a gag order? Do they have something on him we don't know about?

I wonder if this "gag order" will actually hold up until Jan. 10th, I'm guessing it's all going to come out in the board meeting tomorrow.... if they decide to address it.

Actually, it does, since he's technically still the coach until January 10th, when the confidentiality agreement is up. Given that, there are civil implications to him revealing details until he has resigned.

They have nothing on Schrock. He signed it and regretted signing it. He wasn't given time to prepare for the meeting, just called that day and told to come in. Unlike the board that doesn't have to answer to anybody unless they prepare for it in advance.
