Michigan State embarrassed themselves and the Big 10. I thought they were a fraud all year and could have easily lost 2 or 3 games that they won.Alabama proved MSU was a fraud and made me $100.00

Michigan didn't beat anybody in the Big 10. Why would anyone expect them to perform in a bowl game?? They didn't belong in a bowl game.

Wisconsin lost to a good team. They could have beaten TCU, but TCU played better. Kudos to the Horned Frogs.

Northwestern played with 2nd and 3rd string QB's and lost by 7 to Texas Tech. Who cares?

Penn State lost a winnable game by turning the ball over 5 times and allowing Florida to block 2 punts and return 1 of those punts for a TD. Penn State didn't give themselves a chance to win the game.

It was a bad day for the Big 10, but it isn't the end of world.

All season long we hear from so many Ohio State and Big 1o fans how the Big 10 is back, that the Big 10 is every bit as good as the SEC, that the Big 10 is and always will be an elite conference.

Then when push comes to shove the Big 10 routinely stinks up the place during the regular season and most definitely in the post season.

Finally when that happens the excuses start to fly. Your list pretty much sums it up.

It may not be the end of the world, but "bad day for the Big 10" seems to be a common occurrence.

3-5 isn't as good as they should have done, but it's definitely respectable when your wins are against #8 Arkansas, #12 Missouri, and Baylor, and the losses are to #3 TCU, #16 Alabama, #21 Mississippi State, Florida, and Texas Tech. Wisconsin lost a tight one ,Penn State gave one away, and Northwestern beats Texas Tech if they have their 2 best offensive players. The conference certainly didn't embarrass themselves. The Michigan schools embarrassed themselves though.
