The news shows on Fox News are about as neutral as you can get. It is only the commentary shows like Beck/Hannity/O'Reilly that lean to the right. I would even put them in that order, Beck "far" right, Hannity leaning well to the right, O'Reilly slightly right.

Getting back (more or less) to the topic at hand, can any of you explain the Log Cabin Republicans? It is a gay organization and they pushed very hard for repeal of DADT. Why would you want to be a gay Republican? The Republican Party has never done us any favors.

Maybe because the hold a bunch of the same views as Republicans, except on the topic of gay rights?

You have a couple % points of blacks that are republicans also ... Its kind of weird when you here a black republican talk ..you probably have the same amount of gays that are republican ... Republicans are not for mainstream Americans .. They are not for the poor .. They are not for gay rights .. They are not for anything progressive .. They are more old school . You dont see many minorities voting republican because that party is out of touch .. They are old school ,but they feed of the fear of the mainstream to gather votes ,its something that fox news does all the time . They are so slanted and then you have the religious leaders " some of them" who talk with so much venom .. It just sounds as bad as it is .

I am sure alot of gays grew up in conservitive republican homes and that is all they knew growing up ,so they "some" may be battling this inside . Republicans atleast the far right are not progressive .....

Just so you know, not all republicans are against gays,blacks,women,etc....And second the reason they are republicans is because they agree with lower taxes, limited government, indiviual responsibility, a strong defense. The one issue they are not conservative on is gay rights.

And to top it off, there are actually people out there who are free thinkers and do not follow a party strictly down the line on all issues, some people actually use logic and common sense to decide for themselves what to believe and do not follow whatever there party platform at the moment.

You do realize that gay rights is just ONE issue among 1000s involvdes in politics God forbid that a homosexual agrees with conservatives on most of those 1000s.

Plus I am VERY conservative but I agree with many of the gay rights issues so lets not act like all conservatives hate gays here.

Heck the most hated Republican by most liberals in Dick Cheney is for gay rights.

Here is a real hottie for you to think about .... You know about all the scandals the catholic church has had to endure of the past few decades... How many times have you seen it where a priest was accused of sexual abuse of young males ?.... I think that many of these men were hiding theyre homosexualality ... maybe some thought they might be cured by faith and were not .....Just saying we have seen this countless times .. Most repubs would love to have the black vote again . I dont think they have any more racism than any other group . I think the far right are anti gay though. and the far right are for lower taxes for the rich ..trickle down economics .. We have been doing it since Reagan and its failed and failed and failed every time because the rich are greedy plain and simple ..If they were on such a moral high ground then we would have been going to war in countries in Africa many many times ... We only went to war in Kuwait because of Oil nothing more Oh and to protect Saudi Arabia ..I mean more oil.. We went back into Iraq because 911 gave Bush an excuse to get pay back for his fathers failed assaination attempt by Sadaam... We let those atrocities in Rawanda go on ,because nothing was to be gained .. But to Clintons liberal credit he goes into Romania to protect the muslims ..
