Cecil Newton, "You never count your money, when your son is still in college, there'll be time enough for countin' when the Heisman's stripped."

dat dude;554111 wrote:LOL, quick to file suits, eh? In Ohio, there would be a number of problems with the potential libel/slander suit. For one, Cam Newton is likely a public figure, and therefore, there must be proof of actual malice.
I would be surprised of the law wasn't similar in Connecticut.

But I think it's just pathetic how these news organizations just run with any little rumor out there and look at how quick something like this blows up. Then the player is looked upon in a bad light regardless of whether there is any substance to it. Where is the credibility in the media and who is patrolling them? No one has to reveal their sources and no one is held accountable.

That being said, I wouldn't go brushing none of this story aside just yet. Especially with the way Cam and his dad have dodged questions and not directly denied some things. I still think there is something to these stories.

Give me TP any day, bank it.

TP Rose Bowl Champion and MVP
Cam Newton, ineligible player playing on mediocre team in a mediocre conference, will end the season with minimum 2 losses.
Who would you pick?

Is Cam Newton suspended or be ruled ineligible? Contact Auburn University.
Why did the SEC wait so long to address the Allegations made by MSU? No Comment.
The best player in the past 50 years in the SEC is possibly suspended in November, yet the Conference has been aware of recruiting allegations since January? No Comment.
