That was the kind of "triple double" that should get a person laughed out of the league.

The best part has to be the complete "what the fuck did that dumb fuck just do?!?" look on Jerry Sloan's face.

Where have you been? Jpake has always been a fan of the Heat. Go back and look at the "Celtics collapse" thread from last year.

I forget who said it now, maybe wes, but the Lakers scare me as well. They're a bad ass team. I took some heat during the FA period for sticking up for the Heat and the 3 big guys. Most people thought it was pussy to team up together. I took the heat because I said it was needed. Why? Because there is this excellent team in LA already. It's going to take a super team to beat them. Look at Boston, that's a super team in itself. People were and are still mad at Miami, but you can't blame them. To really compete, you need a super team. So yeah, I'm real excited about the Heat. But I won't be arrogant and grant them a ring. Do I think they can win it? I believe so. When the time comes will I predict them? Probably so. But they have SOOO much work to do to take it from LA or even keep Boston from getting there.

I dont know if it takes a super team to beat the Lakers. We have seen the Lakers pushed in the playoffs over the past couple years. It would be one thing if they were sweeping every series and blwoing teams out but that hasnt been the case.

I think there are certain teams that pose matchup problems if they can take advantage of Fisher, make Artest guard someone bigger and have the flexibility in the front court to go big or small.

Not many teams fit that, and even if they do, it doesn't mean that they will beat them, but I think Oklahoma City is one of the teams that could cause them fits and maybe Portland if they ever get everyone healthy.

Portland getting healthy is a BIG IF, espically with the news out that Roy had his knee drained twice already this season. Its hard to imagine Oden ever being healthy which is a shame, bc I really enjoy watching him play.

Portland will never get healthy. Oden just seems like a guy that is cursed, and Roy just can't get that knee 100%. It's sad, because I think they could be the 2nd best team in the west each year if they were getting 75+ games out of their starters.

I'm anxious to see the Heat tonight. Haslem was PISSED and demands toughness. Let's see if they can out-tough these toughest team in the NBA.

8-7 now, 3 losses in a row. I don't think firing Spoelstra is going to change this team into a championship team. Good call on starting this thread to the OP.

The Miami Heat are 0-7 when LeBron plays 40+ minutes.

8-0 when he doesn't.

Hold off on that until the Heat are officially eliminated from the playoffs. I'm still wary of this team really turning it on the playoffs (ala Celtics last year, though Celtics had "championships" pieces).

I really just started this thread to express my opinion and have a discussion thread on the Heat throughout the season.

The Heat appear to be in big trouble. I will admit that I did not see this coming. The team appears to be very flawed. He and D-Wade both appear to be unwilling to adjust their playing style (moving without the ball, taking a backseat for the better of the team, etc).

Their big man situation and PG issue is a major problem. This team isn't going win anything in the playoffs without improving both of those positions. Ideally they should trade Bosh, but they wouldn't do that because it would be admitting that the Big 3 was a failure. Pat Riley's ego is far too large

I agree. Pat Riley wont be trading anybody yet. If things dont improve I could see Bosh getting traded this summer. This team needs more pieces, its tough to fill out a complete roster when you're paying 3 guys the amount of money that they are. If I sign Wade and Judas I'm not gonna sign Bosh for 110 mil, that could handcuff this team for awhile. I would also be shocked to see teams dealing with the Heat anytime soon. What do they have to offer? Outside of the big 3 they have nothing that another team would want

Sounds like how LePippen handcuffed the Cavs by pressuring Gilbert to get guys with huge contracts. If Indiana put a beatdown on them then its going to be ugly when they play at Dallas on saturday.
