Let me try to explain this. I didn't think it was that hard of a concept, but evidently for some people it is. If you are one of the biggest guys on the court, and you are afraid of contact and battling down low, then yes, you are a pussy.

His skill set isn't that of a down low player, what is so difficult to understand about that? It doesn't make him a pussy.

So a big guy who has adapted his game to take advantage of his physical skill set is a pussy.

Kevin Durant is also a pussy! Who else?

More proof that you are a Cleveland troll. You just had to bring up a current Cleveland player and a former Cleveland player and call them pussies. LMAO keep trolling. By the way as COA says, Idiot post of the week. Comparing Z leaving for Miami to LeBron is a complete joke, and if you don't see that you are a delusional idiot.

Wrong. dynasty asked for other examples of big men who take their game outside. Does Z fit that role or is he a inside banger?

Oh and it was a joke to compare Z and LBJ leaving. But still, not one bad thing was said about Z leaving after Cleveland showed him the love and begged for him to come back and all that.

Uhhh was it maybe because Z was a humble class act during his tenure with Cleveland, and also when he left?

When the fuck did I say Gasol wasn't a viable big man??????

The entire point I was making was that he IS a viable big man, and that having one is necessary to winning a championship.

Sounds like Dynasty was trying to spin what I said once I proved him wrong.

Btw dynasty, still waiting for that answer....please, when was the last time the NBA Champions didn't have a viable big man? Because the Heat don't have one, and that's why they won't win.

How is Gasol not a viable big man? I'm not understanding what you are trying to say? Bosh is a top 5 PF in the NBA. I would certainly classify that as viable.

HOW COGNITIVELY CHALLENGED ARE YOU?

I'LL SIMPLIFY IT:

GASOL = VIABLE CENTER

BOSH= NOT A VIABLE CENTER

Need me to spell it out any easier? My god....

And answer this, you've only avoided it like 10 times: Who was the last team to win a championship without a viable center?

Why do I want to know? Because having one is necessary to win a championship. Since the heat don't have one, they don't meet the necessary condition to be champions, and that's why they WON'T win one until they get one.

What exactly is the definition of "viable"? I agree with Dynasty. Bosh is definitely in the conversation in terms of top 5 power forwards in the game. I too would consider that "viable".

I said center. Maybe I should have said center from the beginning.

No team has won a championship since ______ (I know the answer but I'm waiting for dynasty to say it) without a viable center.

Bosh is DEFINITELY a viable power forward, but that alone is not sufficient to win a championship.

1998 Chicago Bulls is your answer.

I was considering Gasol a PF, but I can see you listing him a center. ]

But if you want to talk strictly about centers, what about the Chicago Bulls? Boston won it without a great center? San Antonio in 2005 (before you say Duncan is a center, refer to thread where someone said I'm an idiot for referring to him as a C).

I agree with you that a dominant center is crucial. But it's not necessary. If the Heat fail, it won't be because of a lack of a dominant center. It will be because of egos or a lack of cohesion.

Kendrick Perkins is a great center, might not put up the offensive stats you jizz over like an idiot, but he is an awesome center and is a top 3 defenisve player at the position.

I like turtles, that is the correct answer.

In 2008, Perkins was a viable option at center combining with Garnett to neutralize the Laker's frontcourt.

Being viable in terms of championship quality and being elite are two different things.

Dynasty, Duncan IS a center, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, same with Pau. And if something has proven true for the last 12 years, at this point in time, wouldn't you consider it necessary?

I don't think we are disagreeing as much as you think. The center position in the NBA is absolutely crucial to winning, but I think it can be overcome when you have 2 of the top 5 players in the league and a top 5 PF. Time will tell if they have the winning formula, but let's not count them out due to their lack of a dominant center.

I know Duncan is a center, but a couple posters said it was idiotic for me to refer to him as a C because he's listed as a PF. I also will agree that Gasol is a center, but I won't agree that he's a "bruiser". In fact when they have him at C and Odom at the PF, they have one of the least physical front courts in the NBA.

And the Kendrick Perkins of 2006 isn't the same Kendrick Perkins of last year. I LOVE his game, but he wasn't really a key piece in their championship season.

Uh, I would compare Gasol and Bosh to each other. Sure Gasol will play some center but when Bynum returns he will be playing mostly PF. Bosh is the same way. He plays mostly PF but he can play center and has before (last year in Toronto with Bargnani)

Duncan IS a PF, Garnett IS a PF, and Kendrick Perkins is not a viable Championship Center anymore than Bill Cartwright was and don't let anyone tell you any different.
