There wouldn't have been this much talk if it wasn't for the Big Red posters. Lold.woods50fan. wrote: Im still wondering why a .500 team is still getting this much tlak about them for this long.

It will never stop either. As long as they get on our threads, we will get on theirs. Its kinda like a love/hate relationship... We love to hate each other. For such a "crappy" team according to most Big Red fans, we sure do get a lot of their attention! That just goes back to the whole we love to hate each other thing. Even though its not Canton McKinley vs. Massillon, Big Red vs. IC/Wintersville is a heated rivalry that will never die. It didn't die off when the two teams stopped playing from 1987-2006 and it will continue to live on. Big Red will make its way back onto Creek's schedule in football in due time...GoChiefs wrote:There wouldn't have been this much talk if it wasn't for the Big Red posters. Amazing that a 6-4 team has the highest post count and 2nd highest views in the entire football forum isn't it?

You mean Creek will make its way back onto Big Red's schedule. I don't see this happening for a very long time. If it is such a "heated rivalry," then why did Creek end it? Big Red will not pick up the phone and call Creek. We don't cancel contracts and we don't like it when someone cancels us. The only way Big Red and Creek will play each other in the foreseeable future is in the playoffs.sonofsam wrote:It will never stop either. As long as they get on our threads, we will get on theirs. Dude... Seriously, check yourself. Creek did not end it alone. The schools discussed the remainder of the series and Big Red did what it always does, gives the "do you really want to continue this" speech. Rather than open with a loss, it made sense to schedule a win in game one. So don't place it all on Creek, the feeling was mutual about canceling the remainder of the series. I'm sorry I forgot that we have to make it onto BIG REDS schedule... When did you buy it? I believe that there are schedules for both schools and you were on OURS just as much as we were on yours... Unless you bought the rights to our schedule to call it your own so that you could fight that absolutely worthless subject on this site?FairwoodKing wrote:You mean Creek will make its way back onto Big Red's schedule. They will play again. You don't seem to understand what kind of terms this series ended on. But how would you, you live on the other side of the country and believe everything you read. But then again, since you have assumed the role of AD, I will bow at your feet and listen to your every word oh great one... LOL

Now that I've said this, I would also like to add that I hope I'm wrong. I was highly in favor of Creek and Big Red scheduling each other in 2007, and I thought it would be a series that would go on throughout the foreseeable future. I was very surprised when the contract was broken.FairwoodKing wrote:No. I'm saying we won't play them in the regular season for twenty years.MANAZE wrote: are you saying Creek will not make the playoffs in twenty years?
Big Red had no reason to break this contract. This past year, Big Red made money from the game, and because Creek had a fairly good year, we got some computer points. We benefitted more by playing Creek than we did by playing St. Joe's, Inkster, or O'Hara. If we dropped teams because they can't beat us, we would have gotten rid of Wheeling Park and Buffalo St. Joe's years ago.
As far as the two teams playing the regular season again, we will just have to wait and see what happens.

Every time you run out of arguments, you people get on my case because I live in Seattle. I want you to know that I read the online Herald Star regularly and occasionally submit letters to the editor. I follow Channel 9 news and I watch all the WTOV9 Games of the Week. I call people in Steubenvlle to find out what's happening. And yes, I do go online, but not just to JJ or Freehuddle. I am as informed as anyone can be in my circumstance.sonofsam wrote:Dude... SOS-- Why exactly are Creek and Big Red parting ways? Is it only because Creek doesn't want to open with a guaranteed loss or are there other issues?
