Whoever is willing to kill over the burning of a book is a crazy person. This is correct.
But whoever is willing to riot and scream and get upset over the building of a community center with a religious affiliation is also a crazy person.
Burning holy books is immature, stupid, and mean. Not to mention a waste of money. But none of those things are illegal in our country so we're free to do them even though we shouldn't.

I support his right to protest, yes. But I think there is a difference between the intent of a flag burner and a Koran burner.

I understand your point, but I do not think building a cultural center and burning a Koran are the same thing. These people building the cultural center are not intentionally trying to insult anyone (I am not saying some people don't view it as an insult, I am saying I don't believe they are trying to insult anyone), the pastor and his minions are intentionally trying to insult Islam. They sell "Islam is evil" items, he wrote a book called Islam is of the Devil and now he is burning their holy books. I believe intent makes a difference. You may feel they are both wrong, but would you agree the intent is different?

Where in your quotes did OBL say anything about Christianity? He said America and the American government that he is against. America interferes in Middle Eastern affairs all the time and there is a lot of resentful people. Many Americans get pissed off when our own government gets too involved in our affairs, how do you think they feel when a foreign government interferes in their affairs?
I am not saying I condone their response, but I can see where we have created a problem for ourselves, now we have to fight our own creation.
