They are ranked #3, so if Ohio State or Alabama lose a game, this pretty much dictates that they should move up and play for the championship. The only way a Texas or Oklahoma or Florida jumps them is if they beat a top 10 team by 50 points or if Boise only beats Wyoming or Fresno by a point. Otherwise you really can't argue that an undefeated Florida should magically jump over an undefeated Boise State in the final week just because of strength of schedule.
Just curious as to how you feel about the Ohio High School playoff system (are you familiar with it). Boise State could deserve a high ranking now. But by the end of the season, when you evaluate THE ENTIRE SEASON, there could very easily be a number of teams with better wins and more of them. And that is what will count.
There will still be a pecking order and Boise State will fall below any BCS/AQ conference team who is undefeated and will probably not end up ahead of any one loss team from the SEC and probably not the Big Ten, Big XII, or even Pac 10.
