And you are trying to say that westerville and gahanna don't have neighborhoods that poor, which is false. I still don't understand your apathy towards the crime problem in columbus? It almost seems as if you are excusing it because of people being poor. It;s obvious that there is a problem in this city, yet you want to ignore it. This is not contained to 1 small section of the city, it is spreading into a city wide problem. There are many suburbs that border bad areas, but they do not have these problems filtering into their cities. You claim it has nothing to do with the police, but many of these suburbs have their "lower income" areas bordering the bad areas of Columbus (Hilliard, Westerville, Gahanna) and they don't have these crimes filtering in. If it was such a socioeconomic issue, those areas would be having problems too, you wouldn't see such a dramatic dropoff. I just don't understand how people are so willing to turn a blind eye to a problem and say "well I just don't go there" or "it's small areas of the city". Take pride in your city and demand something be done. write city hall, vote differently, something, anything.
