God is a concept,
By which we can measure,
Our pain,
I'll say it again,
God is a concept,
By which we can measure,
Our pain
,
I don't believe in magic,
I don't believe in I-ching,
I don't believe in bible,
I don't believe in tarot,
I don't believe in Hitler,
I don't believe in Jesus,
I don't believe in Kennedy,
I don't believe in Buddha,
I don't believe in mantra,
I don't believe in Gita,
I don't believe in yoga,
I don't believe in kings,
I don't believe in Elvis,
I don't believe in Zimmerman,
I don't believe in Beatles,
I just believe in me,
Yoko and me,
And that's reality.
The dream is over,
What can I say?
The dream is over,
Yesterday,
I was dreamweaver,
But now I'm reborn,
I was the walrus,
But now I'm John,
And so dear friends,
You just have to carry on,
The dream is over.
I'm a Beatles fan so I say this with respect, but what does that hippie peace-freak know that the rest of us don't? Not a damn thing.

IMO he now knows he should have believed in a few of those things he listed.

Yeah that didn't make much sense. All those things listed were things people revere in some way, for the most part.

I'm guessing it's a slackjawed attempt to say, "Now that he's in hell, I bet he's wishing he believed in the bible and jesus!" Either that, or Skyhook could be a Nazi who's really pissed off Lennon said he didn't believe in Hitler.

Either/or sort of deal.

It's one of those things that certain supposed christians do, where they claim that anyone who isn't faithfully into their personal belief must be suffering in their christian afterlife. They're the ones that annoy me most in these debates. I'm not religious, but have no issue with the concept of it. Church groups do a lot of good in their communities oftentimes. It's the crowd that takes it to the "we're right and if you don't think the same way, well, hope you like it where it's hot" level that make me laugh.

Your not "religious" but your qualified to call someone a "supposed Christian"?

Your the one who suggested John Lennon is in Hell not me, and if someone is a Christian why wouldn't they believe there is a Heaven and a Hell and be "Faithful" to that?

Exactly. Why would people be surprised if Christians, you know, believed what Christians are supposed to believe? Whether it's a "fun" belief, or whether it's a "good" belief--those are different questions.
