Yeah. The most annoying trolls pretty much take delight in randomly popping up to be assholes to see how many people they can get to take the bait. Giving them a "troll award" for this could easily just encourage them to be more dickish.

It would be interesting to know how many of the posters on here are not JJ Huddle crossovers.

Also, anyone else check JJ Huddle recently. They have a pretty nice deal with their $1 a month fee. Subscription will also get you a subscription to ESPN Insder and Magazine. Also like to add their activity on the sports/trivia/forum is terrible. Not even close to half the activity of OC.

Note: I am no longer a member, I was just checking. I don't want anyone labeling me as a traitor.

There are a good bit of guys that are members on both sites, so I don't think you are going to be considered a traitor regardless. I will not pay the $1 a month fee simply because I don't feel like you should be required to pay to post your opinions. I would rather make a donation to this site because it is not required.....just a matter of principle in my opinion.

I dont post much here or JJ but the things I like here is people can talk normal to eachother and poke fun and not get banned. I think you should make the high school sports forums and most of the other forums a little more tougher on language and any sort of abuse. Let people know if you post in this part of the forum its more of a relaxed rule section. I would stay away from the area that I know Im gonna read the fbomb or personal attacks and read the sections and post in the forums that have stricter rules.

I read the content on the site, but I don't necessarily post often. My hope is that my post will be remotely helpful to you Justin, as I am in the position that perhaps you are looking to address. I do want to thank you for everything you do, as I think you have a great thing going here. It is appreciated!

-I still stick by what I said when the site was just beginning. If you are looking to have it as a board where a group of people that have known each other can simply relax and enjoy one another's company, then I think the direction the site is going is perfectly fine. There is nothing wrong with that as a goal. However, if you are looking to make it a legitimate board(legitimate can be interpreted as you see fit), then there are a few issues that need to be addressed.
-These would be the negative comments and the profanity. I clearly have no problem with profanity, as I still read the site. But how many reputable sites do you see where profanity flows like wine? Say what you want about JJ, but they were an extremely successful site. I know that you have said in the past that you don't wish to compete with JJ per se, but JJ provided an environment that allowed the exchange of information in a successful manner.
-I know that many will object based on the grounds that JJ had several problems, but it doesn't have to be exactly like JJ. You can still have an open environment without the mass negativity and profanity. By having such standards, I think that this will allow the site to grow in a way that would not be possible in the current environment. The change would need to be publicized, as the site did not start in this direction based on some of the content, as well as the stunts by some current members of OC on JJ that appeared, forgive me, immature and unnecessary. How many months later were threads started on OC about the faults of JJ?
-By getting rid of some of the negativity, I think posters(including someone like myself who reads but not post) would feel more free to post. I love getting into debates, but the debates seemingly go no where and the responses often begin and end with meaningless insults and drivel.
-Rules aren't necessarily bad. Excessive rules are a negative, but necessary, which can be interpretive I know, are good.

I am sure there will be many who disagree with what I have said, but these are just my thoughts. Thanks again Justin!

Agreed. Thats why this site was created, and why we have members to begin with. Also why JJ hardly has any activity. I am pretty confident most of the posters here could afford to pay $12 a year.

We need to ban people who create threads that are unsubstantiated and later prove to be false.

I like the idea of splitting up pro sports into the leagues so you don't have to wade through pages of shit you don't care about. I'm way more likely to hit the NFL/MLB forums if I don't have to see a bunch of golf/soccer/nascar/nba topics. Also a score update forum for us to update HS games on Fri and Sat I would like to see. The admins wouldn't have to set up the threads for every single game, we'd just make them ourselves and if people make more than one thread for a game, you guys just merge them.
