I honestly didnt think he hit 2nd. However, Choo this year and last has comparable stats, I would still consider Utley better though. Utley and Pedroia.

I am not denying Choo's ability. He is a very good player.

Id take Choo still, but Butler doesnt hit in the 2 hole. At least not that I am aware of.

He might not. I just looked at today's lineup and he was batting 2nd.

Why not? He is a highly touted prospect, and like Santana, has been MVP of a league (AA).

Just looked it up. He started hitting in the 2 hole 12 days ago, lol. I guess when your team sucks on offense you shift shit around.

You're right, he doesn't. I don't know why I thought he did.

If he did though, he would have an argument.

For the same reason I wouldnt say Santana is a top 3 catcher right now (not enough ABs. I usually like 500 before I make a solid opinion on someone). If at the end of the year the numbers are still there, then sure.

But only because crappy teams get a token picked. It's hard for me to label this guy as all that when he's hitting below 290. Last year, the entire Angels starting line up was hitting 3 bills plus at one point of the season (late in the year). Now don't get me wrong here. I love Choo. He"s a great outfielder and in my opinion, a tremendous base runner...which all counts. Moreover, if we had 8 Choos on the field at once, we could probably compete with Boston and NY.

His average has slipped, thats for sure. But the analysts at ESPN and MLBNetwork today were saying he should be on the All-Star team regardless. That he deserves it this season. I think sometimes we get biased TOWARDS our players, and sometimes we think the ARENT as good as they are.
