It was uncalled for because a third party stepped in and got physical with him? It looked like force was necessary there.fan_from_texas;391291 wrote: The level of escalation of force should be commensurate with the gravity of the crime. Here, it was uncalled for and unprofessional.
Again, not punched in the face for jaywalking.Mohican00;391299 wrote:So if I get a ticket for jaywalking my punishment is getting punched in the face?
Clearly this cop lost his cool and completely mishandled this. If you're going to restrain a suspect then do it, don't just uncomfortably wrestle around with him/her and cause a big scene. Take control of the situation.
The cop is a pussy. If he can't subdue a girl, he shouldn't be a cop.
God, you're a tool. Jaywalking is illegal and is dangerous. You don't know when they were jaywalking, you didn't see the situation. Could you imagine if you're driving and someone starts walking across. That's dangerous as shit. So the cop was ticketing someone for putting people in danger.sjmvsfscs08;391340 wrote:Jaywalking?! What a fucking pig.
What a pig.
The issue was originally jaywalking. Then it was walking away from the cop. Then it was resisting arrest. You have to look at the big picture, not the little one.I Wear Pants;391556 wrote:I love people that will defend anything a police officer does and say things like "in the heat of the moment they need to just act". This was a jaywalking stop involving some teenage girls. There was no imminent danger. Write a ticket and move on. Jaywalking isn't something that we should be arresting people for.
This.MANAZE;391931 wrote:you talk about if jaywalking isn't a crime because maybe where you live no one cares. how about Donte Stallworth? if they guy he hits doesn't jay walk he never ends up in jail. go on youtube and look at some people who jay walk and they get busted by a car coming down the street. SAFETY. Cop was doing his job. Would it have been better if he had pulled his gun on her?
