This whole, "Ask, Order, Make" nonsense is disgusting. If a cop shows up and tells me to do something unreasonable, I think it's crazy that he (and apparently many people on the OC) would then consider it justified for him to use whatever force necessary to get me to comply, regardless of how reasonable/unreasonable his initial request was. If someone can't use good judgment on these issues, they shouldn't be in a uniform, carrying a gun.
That’s the problem. I am sure many low life criminals think what the cops do to them is unreasonable. if the cops showed up and everyone would disobey the cop because they thought what they were was unreasonable, nothing would get done. That is why we have court systems.

secondly have any of you ever tried to handcuff someone that wasn't "willing" unless you "slam them hard" its not so easy... had he slammed her hard from teh beginning then he would have been accused of excessive force by slaming her... he was trying to be easy with her so as not to use excessive force.... and he eventually got her cuffed... and if you do think it is easy to cuff someone... go by a pair have your spouse or 15yoa sister not "let" you put them on her and see if you can with out being rough.... I can promise you that there is no one that could cuff most anyone if the person doesn't let you... unless you slam them and make them...
This, it’s not as easy as you think.

as for the other chick that actually went after the policeman........he is wearing a gun on his side and I am sure that he is trained to protect his sidearm at all times because if someone contacts him they could get his gun and then he is fucked. He doesnt know what she is trying to do, if he feels she is reaching for his belt he probably could of tased or even shot her and he wouldnt of got in trouble. Getting punched in the face is probably the least he could of done to her and it obviously worked, she left him alone after that.
nailed it. His gun is completely exposed while he is trying to subdue/cuff this girl. Things could have gotten deadly had she went for the gun.

refer to ccrunner’s post. She could have easily grabbed his gun. She was a threat.

That one girl was bigger than the cop but he still had the strength adv. And even if you don't have the size or strength advantage you should be able to take someone out w/ striking them in the face. I'm sure they teach you how to do that stuff in cop school.
No matter how he takes her down, someone is going to complain. There is no nice way of taking someone to the ground etc.
