I Wear Pants;391556 wrote:I love people that will defend anything a police officer does and say things like "in the heat of the moment they need to just act". This was a jaywalking stop involving some teenage girls. There was no imminent danger. Write a ticket and move on. Jaywalking isn't something that we should be arresting people for.

That said, the girls shouldn't have been being so fucking stupid and just have accepted the ticket/let him cuff them (although I don't get why the cop was just pushing them around if he was trying to arrest them instead of cuffing them. If he wasn't trying to arrest them then I don't know wtf he was doing).

I agree.

I never said that but even if the police officer is wrong and you resist it is going to get ugly that is why you need to comply. Like a I said there is too much missing from this video, no one knows here what transpired leading up to when the video started!!

Wow, some of you idiots think that this is ok? What the hell are you guys smoking? The girls were no threat to him, yet he stepped up and popped her in the face. The cop should be charged with assault, just as anyone else would who did the same thing.

^ you are wrong!! I don't care how petty a crime is, it is still a crime correct? None of you know how the cop approached these people and what their reactions were! All you see is someone resisting arrest and someone stepping in and physically approach the cop while he is arresting someone. Now its two on one I don't care if they are younger woman, you people are missing the freaking point!! I promise you, the next time you see someone being arrested for something you feel is petty, step in and try to stop it and see what happens!

Haha. Is that a real cop??? He punches a girl then can't even cuff the other girl.

While it was necessary to find some way for that cop to subdue that girl, if you punch a girl in the face you are gonna catch heat even if you are allowed to do whatever the fuck you want like the cops are. I can think of a hundred different ways to take someone down w/out striking them in the face. Especially when one has the size/strength adv.

No I didn't ignore anything, go back and read my first post on this thread. Size/strength have nothing to do with this. Have you ever tried to contain someone that was resisting. I promise you no matter how big of an advantage you have it will not always be easy no matter the size or sex of the other person, and he is dealing with two!!

No not you Fab, I was talking to ccrunner.

That one girl was bigger than the cop but he still had the strength adv. And even if you don't have the size or strength advantage you should be able to take someone out w/ striking them in the face. I'm sure they teach you how to do that stuff in cop school.

I don't hate cops as individuals. i hate the state in general and cops are the enforcers of the state, when in fact they are just people like you and I. By giving them so much power they will inherently as human beings screw up sometimes, make errors in the heat of the moment, just like anyone else would do. Then we will, as human beings, ineherntly criticize them for fucking up when their fuck up appears to be a borderline violation of human rights.

If part of my job involved violently interacting with people and imprisoning them all the while the whole thing was publicized I'd no doubt draw criticism at times. That's part of the way our world works.

I needed the cops one time. I had just way too much money. By the grace of God I ran stop sign in a mall parking lot and that's when a cop pulled me over and gave me fat ticket. Needless to say the heroic actions of the cop on that day saved me from going shopping and perhaps endangering myself and others by buying a new pair of shoes.

God bless the cops.

Sounds like Strapon wanted to be a cop and couldn't pass the required tests so now he is holding a grudge.

That's exactly right. I don't know how you could have figured that out from my post but you hit it right on the head. I think you wanted to play for the Cleveland Browns but weren't good enough so now you're holding a grudge.
