I know there are a lot of LOST fans on here ... any bold predictions for tonight's finale?

I predict the return of Walt ... this kid was so critical in the first couple seasons, then poof, gone.

It's ok, this show only caters to a certain intellectual level of fans. :P Have fun watching "The Hills" (I kid, I kid ...).

Impossible, that honor goes to "How I Met Your Mother". Not funny at all, but some people claim it to be the funniest show on television.

As for LOST. Not making any predictions, just getting ready to the conclusion to one of the best written shows ever.

I really don't have a problem with the show...I watched the first one and just couldn't get into it.

All my friends love it and talk about how it's the greatest show ever...I just get tired of hearing about it

I was just playing with you gibby, to each their own. There are lot's of shows that people love that I don't dig, so I know where you are coming from.

Now back to the topic at hand. I was reading some LOST message boards, and apparently watching the first-ever episode is VERY important tonight, as it will be an enhanced version, and apparently the directors have stated on multiple occasions that they gave away the show's ending in the very first episode. I will be watching for sure, can't wait.

CORRECTION/EDIT: the first episode pilot ran last night ... good thing I have LOST on my TiVo season pass!

Just read this on a LOST message board, very cool:

Jack Shephard's name was a clue to the coming time travel. Jack Shephard's name was a reference to a character in the movie Frequency, a movie about a father and son communicating over a short wave radio separated by 30 years of time. In the Season 2 episode, The Long Con, Sayid and Hurley are discussing sending a transmission and they pick up a radio signal with very old music. Hurley refers to the radio waves coming "from anytime". Elizabeth Mitchell, who started playing Juliet in Season 3, played the fireman's wife/son's mother in the movie Frequency. And the actor who played Jack Shepard in Frequency played Kate's defense attorney at her murder trial in the Season 4 episode, Eggtown.

Really looking forward to this one. If I had to make a prediction it would be that Sun and Jin are somehow brought back to life.

1. You have this really apocalyptic ending where everything goes crazy and fades to black.

2. FINAL FIVE MINUTES: Kate wakes up and hears water running in her house. She goes into the bathroom and sees Jack taking a shower. He says "You must have had some dream the way you were tossing and turning. I have to be at work in an hour, so could you make me a sammich for the ride there?" While in the kitchen making it, she looks out the window, only to see Locke riding a bicycle. He looks in her direction and winks as she gasps in surprise. The end.

My prediction is this (and I have never read spoilers in my life):

I believe the last scene of LOST will be the same as the first. Jack will wake up on the island after the crash of 815. How it will work, and its importance I don't know, but I just have this feeling.

damnit, you stole my ending! haha i dont watch the show, but yes, i predict it will all be a dream.

Just took my extensive knowledge of the series (names of characters) and ripped off the moment where Dallas jumped the shark.

I dont have any predictions. Ive predicted stuff and been so far from correct it was a joke. Im done trying to guess what these guys are gonna come up with next. I just cant FUCKING wait.

As for LOST. If you enjoy the type of show it is IE, really thinking and paying attention to every detail as well as discussing with others to find out what you missed to go along with great action and for the most part good acting. You will think it is the best show ever. The character development and the way it is told is second to none.

However, I can see how people would hate the show or not be able to get into it. It has a lot of bad qualities that really stick out if you dont like them (I love them all). If thats the case, certainly this show is gonna seem incredibly overrated to you.

That's just because the first three season encompasses around 100 days but the actor who played him aged three years. Hard to have him playing the same kid when he's a foot taller and his voice is an octave deeper.

He's also not listed on the cast list for the finale on IMDB.

I have friends who think they are in Purgatory, my grandma thinks it all has to do with Cain and Able, and I have another friend who thinks the whole thing is a dream Hugo has been having. I honestly don't think any of them are right (at least 100%), and I don't really care what the ending it. I just don't want it to be something stupid or really obvious.

I never watched the show till tonight, wanted to see what the hype was about. Luckily I caught the recap show too. So the purgatory storyline is what happened?
