The only reason Boston has to consider getting a Big Man in the first round is because of the uncertainty of how long it's going to take Perkins to recover from that MCL & PCL tear .... Probably looking around December or so for a return which sucks.

I don't know though, he may want those last few paychecks.

Even so, they need more front court depth. The lack of front court bodies really did them in during the Finals.

I dunno about top 8-10, but he's definitely striking me as one of those guys who isn't heavily looked at, may go in the second round, and then turn into a very good player who averages 13-15 points a game and compliments it with an all around nice floor game.

Although I've disagreed with you today, I couldn't agree more with you here.

I think he makes an immediate impact and is a very solid pro. I know that the NBA draft is based off of potential, but there are plenty of guys who are going to go above him that I think he's just as good as. I actually think he's a poor man's Evan Turner, but might actually do better in the pros than Turner. A guy like Wesley Johnson is a guy I don't see being that solid pro, but rather on a bunch of highlight tapes is another who I think Vasquez will be better than.

If the Cavs can buy into the early 2nd to get Vasquez I would be ecstatic.

Another guy who I really like, but question more is Trevor Booker. The guy plays hard and is strong and athletic. He's obviously undersized, but I think he's one of those guys who just finds a way to get it done, similar to the way Millsap does. These are two of the guys that I think a team can get in the 2nd round that really make an immediate impact.

Probably not a coincidence that both are seniors.

It might take getting into the late 1st for Vasquez. Some people want him there, but they've got a guy or two ahead of him which might mean they target him early in the 2nd if they can get a pick there.

The Miami Heat have traded Cook & the 18th pick to the Thunder for the 32nd. Nice job by Miami. I would have prefered Jones to be involved with a good chip like the 18th, but Miami may be SOL with Jones. Pat got himself an early 2nd round pick, which he's been wanting. I'm wondering if the Thunder are planning on putting the picks together to move up or if they'll target more depth at spots.

The Bucks aquired Chris Douglas Roberts from the Nets for the 44th pick. The Bucks have been making some solid moves. Although with this one, it looks like Salmons straight up told them he won't sign back. I think he still might. The Bucks will probably pay him more than anybody else, and he looks like a guy that likes money over rings.

Rumor has it that the Pacers have offered the Heat the 10th pick for Michael Beasley. I just read it, and at this time of hour, I HIGHLY doubt it. BUT, if there are legs to this, I'm not sure what I think. I don't really like any player that will probably be around there for the Heat's offseason plan. I think the Pacers would have to trade something else to make the trade work, which defeats Miami's plan. But, Miami might be able to do something neat with a pick the high. However, I couldn't possible trade Beasley for the 10th pick. I think more of the kid than 99% of people out there. Yes he has some growing up to do. But there is no question his ceiling is sky high, just many doubt him. I'll relate this in Cavs terms. Many of you believe Jamison was used very wrong in the playoffs-- well multiply that a few times and that's what you get with Beasley. They never ever ran plays for him, which they should have. They made him into a pick n pop PF, which isn't his strong point, although it will be some day. The put strong fear into the guy that if he screwed up UD was coming in. Let alone, they tried making him a SF. Miami, IMO, is mostly to blame for Beasley's lack of performance... if that's what you can call his stats this year. I know I'm going on a long rant about a simple trade without any legs. However, think about this information. In 12 career games when Haslem didn't play or had 5 fouls in the game limiting his minutes, Beasley has averaged 20.7pts 9.9rbs 50%fg in 31.75mins. Those are damn impressive stats. Without seeing many games, it's easy to be against the kid. But when you watch the Heat, and honestly see what's happening out there, it's hard to give up on a 21yr kid that has career averages of 14/6. End rant.

I don't think Salmons will be back, especially after the Bucks traded fr Maggette as well.

Who knows. Sounds like the Warriors are desperate to get rid of Ellis and the Wolves are the same way with Jefferson. Cavs will have to get busy but both of those trades are reasonable.

They now have three players under contract for next year. Crazy. They could possibly get Bosh, Wade and LBJ. Spoelstra better dust off that resume.

Yeah, Miami is def getting ready to make a run. I dont think they get 3 of those guys but I could def see Wade and Amare being in Miami.
