From espn article.

He don't get it. If he sits he doesn't get paid and he can actually be fined for everyday he misses practice and stuff. He is right about one thing, it's business. He needs to take a few weeks off and let Holmgren get a GM in place and quit whining like a cry baby. I like the guy but this behavior does nothing for his value with this team or any other team. He also needs to remember, he is the one that signed a 6 year deal.
Exactly. I'd love for once, a team to use an athlete like this as the example, you signed the contract, if you don't want to play out the final years of it, thats fine with us, but you're not getting traded, and you're not getting a raise, go get a real job. The fact that Josh is acting like he is entitled to more than what they offered is what pisses me off. He has earned a raise, but he signed the dotted line saying he would take a 6.77 million deal over 6 years, and get up to 400k in bonus money for each season, he did that.

Exactly, the owners need to start sticking together. These are rough times. These guys make huge money to play a game. It's a rough world out there and welcome to it. Owners spend money. Some make more then others for sure and some are idiots so the system will never work. IMO both parties are wrong. Cleveland should have offered just a bit more and he needs to quit whining and quit expecting a ton of money cause he has had a couple of good years. What 3 years ago he didn't value his own worth so now it is the Browns fault.

Some of you are really blind.......Josh Cribbs was THE most valuable player on the team. Period. And I don't care how much the offense and defense improves next year. He will STILL be the most valuable player on this team. If anything he will be used more and in better ways to where he wll put up even better numbers. We just saw the beginning of what he can do in the Wildcat towards the end of the year. Pay the man now!!

Go to a contender Josh! You only have a certain amount of time to get a ring.

It is not his choice. He can play on his current contract, accept a revised contract offer or sit and wait for three years, most likely the three most productive years physically of his life.

If I am Cribbs, I do what ever is possible to get out of Cleveland. It sounds like he is doing just that.

Just seen on NFL Network, Cribbs says they are close to a deal. Said something should be in place by the start of the combine.

Awesome news! Holmgren has to correct the stupid mistakes of Dawn Aponte. Glad she's in Miami now...

Good deal. I figured Holmgren would get it done. Losing a fan favorite and pro bowl player like Cribbs would have been a PR nightmare to start his tenure.
