The “window” has always been through next year, so to trade your — theoretically — best pitcher would be a joke to the game of baseball, imo. Unless they got a highway robbery deal from a team like SD which extended the window and kept it semi open this season? But man, just don’t see how you can give up at 20 games over .500

And, yes, unloading Bauer right now would be a bad move by Dolan ........unless it’s heavily slanted to us......and I do mean heavily. It’s gonna be an interesting next few days until that deadline.

Salazar made 69 pitches in Triple A yesterday w one hit. Fastball at 93mph. They will announce on Tuesday what their plan is for him. Off day Monday, plutko set to start Wednesday. I wonder if that will be changed.

I think that the head to head games with Minnesota will ultimately determine it. We have played poorly against them this year, but if we can play well in the remaining 10, I like our chances.

Covey!......gave up 5 runs on 5 hits without retiring a batter.
Royals getting to Bauer with three hits and a run with only one out.
But he strikes out the next guy and Bauers makes another outstanding scoop at first to get out of it.
