I picked IU going into the playoffs and nothing that happened this weekend changed my mind.

Indiana over Ole Miss was what I was thinking, too.

So now we know it'll be something else.

I’m pulling for Miami now. I guess after that I’d go:

Oregon

Ole Miss

Indiana

I respect Cignetti’s coaching. But I think what the guy’s done will be replicated many times in the current rules environment.

Unless its Northwestern, nothing will really be able to be replicated.

I also do not think what he is doing is as easily replicated "just because of portal and NIL". He is still going after transfers that are underrated and underappreciated. Then coaching them up to be twice as good as they were. Stephen Daley is a great example. I have no idea what he saw at Kent State, but it was obviously something. Comes to Indiana and leads the Big Ten in TFL and Sacks, despite not starting until Kellan Wyatt went down after 4 games.

I think teams will have the MEANS to do it now, but Cignetti (and Haines/Shannahan) seem to be an anomaly in getting it all to come together.

All that said, I picked Indiana because of course I did. But I really did not want to play Oregon again. Oh well.

I like Miami…but voted IU. Could end up Oregon vs Ole Miss as both have enough parts. Ole Miss winning without Kiffin is funny to me and love the Ferris St QB.

IU is a team of guys at every position just coached up ready and focused. Masterful prep job.

Miami seems ready to get back their mojo from 20+ years ago and that defensive line is a nightmare for teams.  Beck has been poised and if they can score enough….they can take it.

None of the 4 winning would bother me…all pretty good stories.

Indiana and Miami apparently both have the most 25-26 year olds so I’m going with Indiana over Miami based on their defense

Miami’s future Pro Bowl players are 21 and 18 though
