I mean, if "its time" to pull him...how about send him out there to throw BP fastballs. Maybe you get lucky with 6 outs.

Baseball is its own worst enemy sometimes.  Data analytics have taken a lot of joy and spontaneity out of the game.

Japanese League pitcher Roki Sasaki threw a perfect game in his previous outing with 19 K's on 105 pitches. In his follow up outing, which I think was yesterday, he had a perfect game through 8 innings with 14 K's. Manager pulled him due to pitch count (102). And he's 20 years old.

This is from a few days ago, but pretty stupid. The Giants were up 7-1 and still trying to score in the 9th. The Giants also scored all 7 of their runs in a single inning. The Nats can cry about it all they want but it makes them look stupid.
