No, not really. I'm not stating anything any NFL GM wouldn't say.
If you were to survey any one of them (could be an odd outlier) they are going to tell you the top priorities for a team are going to be 1) franchise QB, 2) Pass rushers 3) shutdown corners and 4) O-Line (specifically LT for the QB's backside protection assuming he's right handed). This may not be in specific order of preference. I thought that was common knowledge. Pretty much Football 101.
Selecting a RB high in the draft, more times than not, isn't really good value. If you look at the top 20 RB's in 2017, six of them were first rounders and one (Mark Ingram) was a very late first rounder. Two of those guys (CJ Anderson & Crowell) were undrafted.
Saquon is a little different then your typical “best RB in the draft”. He’s a generational type talent that has no weaknesses. If you want to flip a coin on a 5th rounder, by all means. But there’s a good chance that 5th rounder won’t be on our team next year.
Tyrod, saquon, Duke, Gordon, Landry, Njoku...that offense would put up some numbers this year while our QB learns from the bench for 2020. Again, who could possibly be upset with that setup?
