So, from a fan perspective, how does the Mets playing at 4:15 and you guys playing at 7:15 affect things, since you'll likely know by game time whether tonight's game is a must-win (technically not, but if they win and you lose, all your hopes rely on winning tomorrow with them losing, so control of destiny is out of your hands) or that you'll have the spot clinched if you do win?
To me, I'd rather either have both teams playing at the same time or have my team playing earlier just to avoid the worry of my team getting caught up in scoreboard watching and potentially playing tight due to knowing what happened and what that means for them, but I also might be the sort of person who over-thinks things like that.
At least, on paper, the pitching match-up looks good for you. Abbott against a guy making his second appearance of the year. Be nice if you could lock it up today. Mets have Clay Holmes going, who is erratic and hasn't gone 5 innings since late August. And tomorrow, it looks like your match-up is Home Run Singer against Peralta, so it might be horribly tense to have it all come down to needing that one.
