OMG….A&M with an incredible must have play and receiver just drops it. Wow. What a game. Auburn freshman receiver with insane catch to take the lead.
A&M is out of it….I don’t think a 35 point win over Texas would be eniugh

Both teams miss their first conversions, then Auburn makes a great catch in the EZ and AM drops a much less difficult catch and lose the game!

Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas A&M, Colorado all picked up their third losses today and probably kissed their playoff hopes away?

This is crazy…the Big 12 is a mess

Teams still alive for the playoffs:
SEC: Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, Ole Miss
Big 10: Oregon, Ohio St, Penn St, Indiana
ACC: Miami, SMU, Clemson
Big 12: Arizona St, Iowa St, Colorado, BYU and I think Kansas St has a scenario
MW: Boise St, UNLV, Colorado St
Notre Dame

3. Texas
4. Notre Dame (I know they can only be 5th, but can they be ranked higher??)
5. Penn State
6. Miami
7. Georgia
8. Tennessee
9. Indiana
10. Boise State
11. SMU
12. Arizona State
Clemson I think could also sneak in there this week. But I am not sure who I would have them knock out.

Yeah mine are just seedings I think they’ll have….rankings aren’t having SMU and Boise top 5

Yeah, I knew that for you. But ND I dont know if they would even bother ranking higher since its impossible for them even be seeded higher lol.
I think I am going to revise mine slightly after actually looking at results a little closer for the first time basically all year.

I feel ND/Miami/SMU are close…I’d give ND the advantage. I feel Penn St probably similar as well

Here’s who I think makes the playoff:
All 4 Big 10 Teams
2 ACC Teams
Big 12 Champ
MW Champ
Notre Dame
3 Sec Teams with Texas being the lock

Clemson should not be #12…I think the committee put them there so if South Carolina beats them..SC jumps into the playoffs

So A&M does still control destiny. I didn’t think SEC was different than other conferences in getting into conference championship game.
They aren’t beating Texas and Georgia….I doubt

There are still so many potentials
What happens this weekend to change things? Miami loses at Cuse? USC beats ND? Arizona knocks off ASU (quite doubtful but things happen)
Vandy over Tennessee? A&M at home over Texas? This would make things bonkers IMO
Something will happen

The 2 big ones to me are if A&M beats Texas and then loses in the SECCG, will that have knocked out both of them? IMO, yes. If Clemson wins v S. Carolina, does they sneak in? IMO, also yes — but I don’t know who they knock out.

I think in that Clemson would maybe jump SMU losing in the ACC unless it’s nail-biting close….or Miami if SMU beats them with some comfort.
Game is in Clemson….South Carolina has a tough atmosphere but I think they are better, but South Carolina also better at home. Next two weeks will be VERY in

The 5 seed might end up being a better place than the 1 seed. Right now, the 5 seed would play #12 Arizona State then #4 Boise State. While the #1 seed would have to play Georgia/Tennessee winner. I know that teams will move around, but locking conference champs into certain seeds makes the seeding process entirely different.

I just don’t like the seedings set up…just have the committee rank them 1-12 using the 5 best conf champs and next 7 best teams
1. Oregon
2. OSU
3. Texas
4. Penn St
5. Notre Dame
6. Miami
7. Georgia
8. Tennessee
9. SMU
10. Indiana
11. Boise St
12. Arizona St
#5 ND vs #12 ASU…..winner gets #4 Penn St
#8 Tennessee vs #9 SMU…winner faces #1 Oregon
#6 Miami vs #11 Boise St….winner faces #3 Texas
#7 Georgia vs #10 Indiana…winner gets #2 Ohio St
#1 would have best route
Man this stuff is going to change though
Oregon vs Ohio St
Texas @ Texas A&M…winner vs Georgia
ND at USC (every game has been a 1 score loss for USC)
Miami @ Syracuse then Miami/Clemson vs SMU
Clemson Vs South Carolina
Arizona St vs Iowa St (likely)
Bama vs Auburn
All of these before the playoffs are chosen….and I’ll about guarantee something not listed ends up affecting the top 12

I think the big issue is going to be if they punish teams who lose on their conference championship games and take teams from that same conference who didn’t make the championship and avoided that loss
