Yeah, I think there was several failures that happened with this shooting. To name a couple: an obvious lack of secret service/snipers, snipers waiting until the shooter fired before they neutralized him.
Also, why the fuck is Biden reverting right back to the "threat to democracy" rhetoric? Are his speech writers that tone deaf? There's about 20 of them. Not one of the more experienced writer could intervene with saying something like "hey, maybe we need to edit this sentence out or rephrase it to something more innocuous?"

Nowhere in history, when there was an assassination (or attempt), did bystanders point at a Lee Harvey Oswald or John Hinckley Jr and yell "there's a guy with a gun up on the roof, do SOMETHING !!!" (like was the case with Trump) WARNING the SS about the shooter, only for them to freeze up. From the slow to react snipers to the out of shape SS workers doing a shitty job getting Trump off the stage, this whole thing was a clusterfuck. If any of those involved have a job today, they're very lucky.
