For those who think this tragedy has won Trump the presidency, do you think that - if the Dems put up somebody else like Whitmer that it would make much of a difference at this point? Or would it still be full steam ahead either way?

Mental health issues imo.
He's at the age that suffered a lot from Covid. Forced isolation, couldn't graduate like normal, etc. If he already had issues, Covid mandates compounded them 10 fold.
Even without all of that - a person would have to be baseline nuts to do something like that. From the get-go.

I feel so much sympathy for the victim and his family.
I also feel some of that for the villains family. I mean can you even imagine all of the feelings that they are experiencing? They will carry all this forever, too. Hopefully they will be left alone and not targeted in any way.

On a side note, my wife is from butler, pa and had childhood friends and neighbors there. This is definitely the heart of MAGA country with most yards and houses with trump flags and multiple billboards similar to the hell is real thing we have here. I have posted them before. I wonder if this is why security was so lax or maybe not as stringent as other places.

Look, man, just because you have other things in your life besides saying you "won" an internet argument and your brain doesn't break and put you in "obsessive ex" mode because someone openly disagreed with your opinion, doesn't mean everyone is so fortunate!
A little while ago I was watching a Jimmy Dore Livestream where he played a vid of the shooting. It shows snipers on a roof, finger on trigger, looking down their scopes, didn't shoot until the villain did. Now, I'm not sure if that vid is 100% correct with the timing of it. But it does kind of draw me in considering just how long one bystander was telling the cops/Spooks that there was a man on a roof bear crawling with a gun.

I don't think it's possible to know the timing. I also heard that a cop climbed a ladder to confront the shooter, but then must have bailed when the shooter pointed the gun at him. Then apparently the shooter immediately open fired soon after, so it's possible that cop disrupted him enough to just miss.
As for the counter sniper, guessing he could have been 200 yards away or more. It's going to take a few seconds to line-up that shot.
But if any of the above is true, that's going to give conspiracy theorists plenty of material to work with.

I haven’t seen it but I only need to be on X for a few minutes before being overwhelmed with everyone screaming conspiracies or assigning blame. Need a social media blackout for a bit.
