There has never been a shortage of nutjobs. Nor inflammatory rhetoric in the media and by politicians themselves. The issue is that within the span of a few months two times nutjobs have been able to approach the same presidential candidate with long guns and equipment in what one would think is in an obviously preventable manner.

Was listening to the radio this afternoon and the guys talking said that there was this "aura" about the Secret Service and how the POTUS (or candidates) couldn't be compromised by attempted assassins. Once the shooter took his shot in PA the nut jobs could be thinking " maybe the Secret Service isn't so big and bad" so now they're taking their turn? I don't expect this to be the last time we hear about this with the Secret Service's lax care of protecting him. And if this IS the case, the times we're living in are scarier than many thought.

If you want to talk about Guns that’s fine, but this is a whole other conversation. That is why I didn’t address it. I have said on this board many times I am overall pro 2nd amendment. And discussed my new gun that I am getting. I do think I’m ok with people having to wait a period of time to get said weapon or some increased level of monitoring. We have more laws on lemonade stands and similar stupid regulations that are more restrictive than guns. That probably shouldn’t be the case or maybe we should also get rid of those laws. I’m fine with people who have domestic violence convictions being prohibited for guns. It’s a start. We certainly can’t just keep things as is.

I don't know about that. Because trying to figure out her stance on anything is like trying to nail jello in the wall. She's not answering anything.
Just a couple of days ago she gave another interview. When asked about her economic plan she told the story again about how she grew up middle class.
In the past three years all we have to go by is her much repeated line about the passage of time or her unburdened by what has been stupid shit.
She says that she imagines an opportunity economy, but most of that was directly ripped off of Biden and Trump.
The only concrete thing we know about her is her stances from her sad primary run in 2020 where she said things like:
- she wanted to use taxpayer money to pay for gender surgery for illegal immigrants in detention centers
- mandatory govt gun confiscation
- she wanted to reduce ICE funding because there's too many border agents and it wasn't fair to the illegals
Now, imo, she can sit on a tree stump and spin until she makes a bunch of No.2 pencils, based on what we know for sure about her.
I loath to say this, trust me - but as much as I despise Hillary Clinton she presented herself in a much more strong and intelligent manner. As much as I disagreed with her, she had something to say. Kamala doesn't. She's an empty vessel.
